  1. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 12:49 PM) I watched my buddy play for about an hour, and it kind of seemed the gun for hire system was TOO good. He rescued a guy and hired him to help and that dude took out an entire outpost by himself. And then he got Boomer the dog and Boomer did the same. I literally just started the game, but from what I’ve seen in previews that could definitely be a problem. I guess you could probably avoid using the gun for hire system if it becomes too easy.
  2. I know these rankings can & will change, but who are the top four guys at the moment? Mize, Liberatore, McClanahan, & Hankins/Gorman? Obviously it seems like we’ll probably end up with a pitcher and I’m fine with that. Adding another elite pitching prospect will give us the depth to move some arms to add a cost-controlled bat when the time is right.
  3. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 12:46 PM) Kopech for sure, Eloy, we'll see. I think worst case scenario Eloy is up by August and I personally expect him to debut right after the All-Star break assuming he stays healthy & performs as expected.
  4. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 12:36 PM) I'd actually be surprised if Kopech doesn't graduate this year, there's also a pretty good chance Jimenez graduates. Going to need a few guys to take a big step forward to keep afloat in the rankings. Realistically we got to hope that Robert & Hansen can replace Kopech & Jimenez as top 20 guys and that a few others join Dunning as consensus top 100 prospects. Baring a major surprise, our 1st round pick will most definitely be one of those guys. And Cease, Collins, & Rutherford all made at least one top 100 list this year and have the ability to make significant jumps this coming season. After that, there aren’t a ton of guys who realistically have the ability to crack one of these lists. Adolfo, Sheets, maybe Basabe if all goes right. All of those guys are long-shots IMO. The only other guy I’d consider with that type of ceiling would be Curbelo and that’s even more unlikely now that he’s starting the season in rookie ball. I really hope they can find a way to get some talent for Avi & Nate Jones, because the system could definitely some depth.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 12:22 PM) Can't wait to see the Prospect rankings going into '19 with this ammo Doubt Jimenez, Kopech, or Robert graduate and should all be Top 10 prospects league-wide 2019 Prospect List should look like: 1. Jimenez...Top bat in baseball, in Opening day 2019 roster discussion 2. Robert...Top 10 prospect in baseball, in Opening day 2019 roster discussion 3. Kopech...One of the best arms in baseball, in Opening day 2019 roster discussion 4. 2018 first rounder 5. Hansen...Ace potential, in Opening day 2019 roster discussion 6. Cease...Takes major leap, should be up at some point in 2019 7. Dunning...Continues dominance, should be up at some point in 2019 8. Collins...Continues to improve, up at some point in '19 9. Basabe...Have a feeling he rounds out the Top 100 a year from now after a monster '18, probably has a 2020 ETA 10. Adolfo...Hits very well in '18 and is borderline Top 100 This doesn't mention Rutherford who I'm not big on for '18 and Burger who was projected to have a big '18 before the injury nor the 2018 second rounder, Sheets, Burdi, etc. Jesus Looks like 6 Top 30 guys, and 9 Top 100 guys a year from now I’ve got bad news for you, but Kopech & Jimenez will probably not be eligible for these lists next year.
  6. The day after opening day is without question the worst day of the year. Why do they need a day off already? At least we’re coming off a win.
  7. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 09:29 AM) 2017 was Davidson's first major league season. This idea that young players must produce immediately and will take only minor steps back once hitting the majors, or else they aren't any good is loopy. Sure a few prosper immediately, but most don't. I don’t think that was ever anyone’s problem with him. I think the fact he was never very good at Charlotte made it hard to believe he’d ever get much better. One game isn’t going to change my skepticism with him (although he did look good) but hopefully somehow everything just clicked and he proves me wrong. I’ll be rooting for him.
  8. The Far Cry 5 opening is pretty intense. Pretty excited to dive deeper into this game.
  9. Bulls currently sit at 7th pick wise and could realistically move up to 5th. Tonight is a must lose game against the Magic. Hopefully we can get it done as being top 6 in this next draft would be awesome.
  10. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 04:46 PM) 2 BB for Delmonico. Nicky is exactly the type of hitter this lineup needs.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 04:44 PM) He is too set on taking walks at times. He takes way too many third strikes. The good news is it’s easier to learn how to be aggressive than it is to be patient. I’m confident he’ll make the necessary adjustments to become an effective two strike hitter.
  12. Shields has retired 9 of his last 10 batters faced with no hits allowed and no K’s.
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 10:13 AM) Score predictions? I think the Sox win this one 6-5. I think Shields goes five innings giving up four runs, but the bullpen & offense are able to pull out the win for us. I’m expecting a multi-hit game for Anderson & one blast from either Abreu or Avi to lead the charge. Still looking good!
  14. Alright guys, let’s score some f***ing runs!
  15. 50% K rate through three innings, our guys definitely look ready...
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 03:54 PM) Batting Practice got 3 outs. It's a miracle. He’ll end up going 5 innings with just the four runs.
  17. Why the f*** are there Cubs related commercials on this broadcast?!?
  18. I almost pulled my 4 year old son out of daycare to watch this game in hopes of turning him into a Sox fan (his mom is a diehard Cubs fan), but I’m guessing it was a wise decision not to. If watching James Shields pitch that fist inning was my first real Sox experience I’d probably want to be a Cubs (or Royals) fan.
