100% agree. And honestly Rick said as much in that live podcast. Specifically mentioned more deals like the Wellington Castillo signing.

I’d sign a veteran if one is available on a short-term deal. I’m less inclined to give playing to fringe prospects once Eloy & Kopech are up and most of our top prospects are in AA and therefore not too far away.

I don’t think any of those guys will be our 1B & DH on our next good team. We’re going to have a lot of money to spend and adding a veteran middle of the lineup bat makes sense if Sheets, Burger, & possibly Collins don’t appear to be the answer.

Madrigal awarded a double on a hang-whiff-em that the RF lost in the lightS. Hope they change that call back.

Jimenez is out again tonight with the flu, so hopefully it’s just bad timing. If he’a not up by the weekend, then wait until next year.

There is zero reason to bank on that though. Use our OF depth to add depth at a position of need if a fair prospect for prospect trade can be made.

I like what I’m seeing out of Lopez tonight. 5 sliders & 3 change-ups. Could use a few more swinging strikes, but not complaining at this point.

No excuse not to trade one of these guys for a 3B prospect. What teams have organizational depth at that spot who could use an OF?

Adams with some K’s, but also walking too many. Hopefully he’s working on something that will ultimately generate some swing & misses. That is what’s going to make or break him at the major league level.

All I ask for tonight: Reynaldo continues to use the change-up & generates a fair amount of swings & misses Moncada is more agressive at the plate and doesn’t K looking Give me those two things and I’ll be more than happy.

Good context there and you’re definitely right. No one could have imagined Bush would have been this good out of the gate as an 18 year old.

I just want to know what the fuck Steverson is doing with this kid. When Moncada goes bad, he looks completely lost & hopeless. FFS, no one should strike out looking four times in one game. Adjustments should be made in terms of approach. So that means either Steverson isn’t coaching in real time or Moncada isn’t listening. To me, that’s the most frustrating part.
