  1. Yup, plus we have a ton of arms that are nearly ready. Crochet is a different situation given his age and talent. Probably still need to move him at some point because Jerry is going to Jerry, but holding onto Fedde into next year would be absolute madness given how far away this team is.
  2. We aren’t going to be competitive next year so Fedde is a 100% must move piece. Someone is giving up a top 100 prospect for him and that’s far more valuable to us than 1 1/3 seasons of Fedde.
  3. Just like with Quero, it will normalize soon enough.
  4. “Always be selling relievers” was meant for Tanner Banks. Sell high and do so right now!
  5. Oh god you’re right. Bump that surplus value up another $10M then!
  6. Fedde is on pace for a 3.5 win season and is owed like $22M for the next 1.5 years. I’d place him much closer to $25M to $30M in surplus value if you believe he is legit.
  7. Robert, Crochet, Fedde, & Kopech for the entire Norfolk Tides roster? Who says no?
  8. Remember, this is a guy who hates AnAlYtIcS!
  9. Did you just call Eloy, Moncada, Vaughn, & Lee “premier” talents? At this point you are just straight up trolling.
  10. Cool…doesn’t mean we had to trade him for a AAAA outfielder. Just like the Tim Hill excuses of “$1.8M is nothing” is ridiculous when we gave up a controllable reliever who has actually been good this year.
  11. Harold must be ecstatic about that analytic department nugget!
  12. I think Montgomery and Quero will be starters. Ramos & Gonzalez both have shots to be them as well. Hard to rule out Baldwin at this time based on his numbers alone. I’m not really going to comment on the others because you can’t really plan for non-elite prospects below AA and most of the higher ceiling guys down there have a lot to work ok there. But by trading the three guys I mentioned, you should be able to get six 50 FV (even there is a serious offer for Crochet) and above prospects and hopefully many of them are positional guys. There is a path to build something here, but Getz has to hit no doubt home runs or else he should hold Robert & Crochet until the offseason. Fedde will never be worth more than now and needs to be dealt this deadline.
  13. I’d give Colas an extended shot over the other two hands down. Not overly impressed with what I’ve from Fletcher and DeLoach.
  14. Yup, Getz needs to go after high ceiling bats if he moves Robert or Crochet (and has to hit big time).
  15. I think there is zero chance Fedde is here come August 2nd.
  16. I know these games are meaningless, but good god they can’t fire Grifol soon enough.
  17. Regarding Crochet, I would love to extend him if at all possible. If that’s not possible, then we should 100% trade him at some point. I’m still very skeptical that someone will give up a massive haul for him at this deadline for reasons stated repeatedly, but I truly hope I’m proven wrong. If Getz trades Robert, Crochet, & Fedde, he could quickly add the positional talent needed to fix this rebuild in a couple of years. Kopech’s numbers suck but I’m certain there will be teams interested in him. Should also be get some decent lottery tickets for Pham, DeJong, Flexen, & Banks. This may be the most exciting deadline we’ve had in franchise history.
  18. His stink last year should be a non story at this point IMO
  19. We also DFA’d Declan to make room for Hills…whoopsey
  20. Is Schweitzer up for good?
  21. Looks like Aly has officially jinxed Thorpe…oh well, he was fun while he lasted
  22. Damn those glasses are really working!
  23. Where did this 88-90 to come from?
  24. That was an incredibly impressive first inning.
  25. You’re missing Rodon (already in majors), Fulmer, Hansen, Adams, Pilkington, Lambert, etc. Not saying you’re wrong by any means, but there was quite a bit young pitching at the time including eight guys who cracked top 100 lists.
