I think one thing that’s never really talked about enough is all the planned rest that was baked into the schedule this year. Like a ridiculous amount of planned rest. Like so much that you question lineups and bullpen usage almost daily, wondering why all the fodder-type guys are playing so much. And then on top of that plan they had more serious injuries than probably expected so they needed more fodder-type guys to play even more. There’s a lot to talk about within this subject. It would make for a fun thread

I just question how much money the poor teams make and if they can absorb a salary floor. I have absolutely no clue. But if the owners as a group are proposing this, does that mean all 30 are cool with the floor?

I wonder if the end of this trade is doing Kimbrel a solid and trading him in the offseason so he can go somewhere else to rack up saves for his career stats. If that’s the case I’m sure the Sox will get an absolute haul for him this offseason. Nice position to be in.
