  1. I'm really hoping for D.J. Davis, love the speed....go get pitchers with the next ten picks.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ May 31, 2012 -> 07:11 PM) I've been saying he should replace Fukudome. 2-2, double, walk. Hitting .295. Totally agreed, Fukodome has not found a place with RV. Bring up the kid and let him be the back up CF to give DeAza some rest once in a while.
  3. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ May 31, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) Marc Hulet posted a pseudo-mock today on FanGraphs, although it's just based on what he thinks the teams SHOULD do, not what he thinks they WILL do. Anyway, he had the White Sox down for this guy: 13. Chicago White Sox: Andrew Heaney, LHP, Oklahoma State U – Heaney is a strike-throwing southpaw with outstanding command of his three pitches: an 88-93 mph fastball, curveball and changeup. He should move quickly through the minor leagues. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/f...aft-selections/ Sound like Aaron Poreda.................I hope they go for the highest premium athlete on the board for some reason..........
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ May 28, 2012 -> 04:51 PM) This one has Lance McCullers going to the Sox. http://www.mymlbdraft.com/MLB-Mock-Draft-2012 Not sure about another high school pitcher after the Jason Stumm and Kris Honel experiments.
  5. Sox are having a very nice run the last two weeks, but I am still up for trading Peavy while his value is at its peak not matter where the Sox are at in the standings. Got roughed up a little yesterday, but I just think it is a matter of time before he is on the DL again this year for a month. People would be screaming White Flag again, but it really does make sense. Great debate though.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ May 19, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Beckham getting time at 3B, then? I don't see anyway that Beckham gets moved, he is just starting to get his groove. Try O-Hud at third.
  7. QUOTE (JPN366 @ May 11, 2012 -> 11:26 AM) Angels cut loose Trevor Reckling. Worth a pick up? Agreed, take a flier on him.
  8. Trade him now while he is healthy and his value is high.
  9. Man, we have some weak sticks in this line up right now. Changes have to come, Viciedo no rbi's other than his solo shots, Beckham 2 rbis and both of them have played almost every game.
  10. QUOTE (YASNY @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 01:40 AM) When AJ was a Twin, I hated the guy. As soon as he signed with the Sox, I knew I'd love him. I used to hate Dino Cicarelli (sp?) they same way, but I wanted him on the Blackhawks. Totally agree about Dino, same with Bob Probert. Also would put Rodman in that category, when he as a Bad Bad with the Pistons, Bulls fans used to say they never wanted him on their team and that was history. AJ is an agitator, love having him but do not want to see him get another $6 million per year contract.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 04:57 PM) Of course I had to go to some kid's birthday party today with the wife and baby and was forced to get tickets for tomorrow's game instead. Daggummit! Me too, daughter had a choir concert tonight at church and missed it. Great on both accounts.
  12. When does the Lillibridge needs to start at third thread start?
  13. Michael Bowden DFA'd by Boston, wonder if we make a claim, but he will have many suitors. Did anyone get Brandon Allen?
  14. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 09:37 AM) I like this lineup Agreed we have left/righty throughout the entire line up.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) Basic highlights. Jared Mitchell continues to do well in BIRM, over .300, puts up the dreaded 2-3-1-1 boxscore line with his 2nd triple and 2 walks. Trayce Thompson at .250, but hit his 2nd homer and already has 7 RBI's. K. Walker with another hit and exactly at the .300 mark. Pedro Hernandez pitched an outstanding game for the Barons. Yet another talented left-handed pitcher in our system. And whoever has Kevin Vance (UCONN) as their Adopt a Prospect, looks like he will move fast. He's been utterly dominant his first two starts for Kannapolis. At Great Falls, he was used primarily as a reliever, starting just once, but had an eye-popping 58 K's in 35+ IP. Doyle also pitched much better than his horrid first start. Thanks for the summary and a shout out to everyone who updates this thread. I truly appreciate this.
  16. QUOTE (black jack @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 08:38 AM) Rookie making his first MLB start vs the Sox... and a lefty to boot? DISASTER Time to prove those days are over. Agreed, let's hope this ends today.
  17. If all it took was Crain and Thornton to get Trout, would make that trade in a minute.
  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 10:07 AM) Always liked Leighton Pangilinan and Daniel Webb. (when he was drafted by Toronto) Hoping Pangilinan can put it together this year. Like a couple guys in GFs too. With you on Webb, I hope he turns into a sleeper as prospect as well.
  19. Give Phegley some love too, maybe he starts hitting this year.
  20. I thought there was some spring training news that AJ would hit second. Ventura is making his first bold statement if he plans to hit Dunn third in the order.
  21. I know it is ceremonial, but May 16th will be Billy Pierce day in Illinois to coincide with an event in Springfield to celebrate the Sox! Billy is a great guy.
  22. Let's hope for the high 80's in wins and hope the other teams struggle. Not sure what to expect, let's just get it going.
  23. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 30, 2012 -> 09:53 PM) So they decided to got through the C's and cut a bunch of players...Tyson Corley, Justin Cassel, Kyle Colligan and Alden Carrithers. Cassel seems like he was with the organization for 20 years, forgot all about him.
  24. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 10:45 AM) Christian Marrero to the Braves for cash. Anyone else, Braves? Maybe KW is stock piling money for a run at Soler..........NOT
