  1. Charlotte: Shawn Haviland 5 IP, 2 ER Birmingham: Danish 2.1 IP, 8 ER Winston-Salem: Guerrero 6.2 IP, 6 ER Kannapolis: Lowry 6 IP, 2 ER Great Falls: Easterling 5 IP, 3 ER http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...fenses-explode/
  2. FYI, Futuresox will have a Great Falls preview up later today. I will link it when it is complete.
  3. The "trading Sale" threads are a sign that this season has reached a depressing low point. It will be very interesting to see how Hahn proceeds this deadline. The entire point of adding Robertson/Melky/Shark this off-season was to supplement the core of Sale and Abreu while they are in their primes. Trading away starting pieces basically destroys that notion and takes the Sox back to square one. Honestly it would pretty much fly in the face of everything Hahn has been doing the past 2-3 years even if it might be the most prudent move.
  4. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 04:22 AM) The Mark Teahen trade that keeps on giving. You mean Jason Frasor if you are referring to Myles Jaye. Though we did acquire Frasor with Teahen so I guess the logic follows.

  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 12:18 PM) Excited about Montas. The ERA is good but slightly concerning that is K rate is declining and BB rate is rising from last year. I guess that is to be expected of the jump from A+ to AA.
  8. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...t-the-shuckers/ Recap posted
  9. Keith Law's latest mock has Tyler Jay and Carson Fulmer on the board for the Sox and they select..... Carson Fulmer. Zzzzzzzzz "Analysis: I've heard Fulmer and Jay placed here the most, with James Kaprielian and Missouri State right-handed pitcher Jon Harris also on their short list."
  10. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/wp-ad...ssage=6#article Recap posted. Strong starting pitching.
  11. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...amatic-fashion/ Sox sweep!
  12. Keith Law released his second edition of his mock draft and the White Sox selection has not changed from Carson Fulmer. At this point, it would be a shock if the Sox selected anyone but Tyler Jay or Carson Fulmer.
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 26, 2015 -> 01:25 PM) Alright so looks like Tyrion will replace Barristan as ruler of Mereen when Dany goes off. Yep. I am hoping that we are treated to a Tyrion "who dun it" poison investigation.

  16. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ May 23, 2015 -> 07:48 AM) With Guerrero dominating Kanny, I wonder if the Sox would skip Winston and send Guerrero to Birmingham. Is Winston that big of a jump from Kanny? Not necessary, he is only 20. He would still be young for Winston-Salem.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 22, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) LOL, looks like the auto-linker from Baseball Reference is picking up the Spencer Adams who played major league ball before. He died in 1970. Damn you BR! Haha
  18. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...three-shutouts/ recap posted.
  19. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 21, 2015 -> 12:55 PM) Fulmer and Jay are my top 2 choices right now. Sounds like you will get your wish. Keith Law said in his chat that Fulmer is option A, and Jay is option B for the White Sox.
  20. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...s-lead-the-way/ Recap posted. Very encouraging stuff from Guererro and Michalczewski.
  21. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...-fry-and-lowry/ Recap posted. Fry and Lowry highlight an otherwise meh day.
  22. Wow! Surprised by this but probably the right call by correcting their earlier mistake. Hope Johnson takes this well and works his ass off in Charlotte.
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 12, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) Nick Capra (Player Development Director) and Kirk Champion (Field Coordinator) sat in with 3 blogs to answer some questions about the Sox minor leaguers. Future Sox was among them. Read here what they had to say, with some expected - and perhaps unexpected - statements on some key prospects. Thoughts? It is encouraging to hear Capra thinks Rondon is improving from the left side, since his left-handed batting is what is suppressing his offensive stats.
  24. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 13, 2015 -> 10:55 AM) I think SSS is far, far too early in calling for this. Johnson's ceiling is much higher. Obviously the glove needs work, but I think he needs to the time to make it work now that he's in Chicago. Just my opinion. I think he's done very well at the plate so far. I'm not questioning the ceiling, he's incredibly talented. I question the decision to throw him into the fire when he obviously needed refinement on defense and on the base paths. Not sure what the best course of action is now.
  25. http://www.southsidesox.com/2015/5/13/8596...e-sox-one-to-go This post pretty much highlighted all my concerns with going with Micah Johnson over Sanchez. While Johnson is a special talent, dude is just raw.
