Regarding Free Agency next off season, I'm sure glad MLB changed Draft Pick compensation rule so that if Sox do take a free agent(s) with a QO, they at least won't have to give up a #1 pick in 2019.
"A job to be named later." I laughed out loud, but then I looked up Jed Hoyer. You might have been kidding, but I don't think so. Hoyer worked for Theo in Boston, too. Then he got the San Diego gig and let Theo undress him, then he goes to Chicago and is Theo's GM. Beyond incestuous. You were kidding on the square.
That was Kenny's favorite deal, the Berry/Barry trade with LA. They fleeced him, but no one involved had any impact in MLB. It would have embarrassed most GM's, but not Kenny.
Funny post. Too bad about David, though. When he came into the pros, he went against Dr. J several times, and he was better. I was there. Then the drugs, David went somewhere, Dr. J is in the Hall, and he is revered. David, not so much.
"Flu-Like Symptoms." Whenever I hear this expression, I think back to the late 1970's or early 80's when the Denver Nuggets had a really great basketball player named David Thompson, who unfortunately (and allegedly} ran into a serious drug problem and didn't show up for games from time to time. The Denver front office kept using the expression flu like symptoms as the reason for his absence. Back then the media just accepted it and did not have the balls to challenge the reason.
I am not implying anything for Jose, of course.
