Too bad about Jimmy Lambert. Lights out for 6, then lost it in the 7th.
  2. A) Riley Pint? He's done nothing. You don't trade Abreu for that. No way. B) Again, no way. Hoffman not even on the team. Rox need a bat like Abreu's in a big way, and they need to get rid of Desmond. They could use a set up guy like Nate Jones. Enter Hahn. Gotta have Rodgers, probably Dahl, etc.

    Wow. Interesting stats.
  4. I saw that both Yanks and Astros are interested. Yanks require a haircut. Should be interesting.
  5. Hey, man, do you ever exaggerate?
  6. "Literally" stuck?? Literally? Or metaphorically?
  7. Why was it a double error on Tim? I thought the catcher dropped the ball.
  8. Rox want someone to take Desmond off their hands.
  9. Kopech and Jimenez are separate cases. Kopech probably should stay down. The other guy, not so much. Jimenez will probably progress a lot faster against major league competition. I say, kick him up to AAA now, and if he rakes for a week or two, bring him up. Unless you think Delmonico is better.
  10. Also, Ned Garver for the Browns in early 50's.
  11. Steve Carlton comes to mind. 1972, I believe.
  12. Managers don't do that anymore. Might hurt his feelings. Sign of the times.
  13. Is Didi next?
  14. The all time leader in Hammy problems has to be Tulo.
  15. Gordon's best offensive season was his first year in majors -- 2009 I believe.
  16. Cub fans have been doing it for decades. Then, when they go to a different park where there is plenty of room, like Coors Field, they still do it.
  17. You cannot stop Laz Rivera; you can only hope to contain him.
  18. Who is his agent/advisor? When do these guys make that disclosure?
  19. oldsox replied to flavum's topic in FutureSox Board
    Not so sure about that.
  20. Is Scott Boros representing any of the top draft prospects?
  21. Regarding Free Agency next off season, I'm sure glad MLB changed Draft Pick compensation rule so that if Sox do take a free agent(s) with a QO, they at least won't have to give up a #1 pick in 2019.
  22. You gotta be kidding.
  23. It would have to include Rodgers, IMO.
  24. "A job to be named later." I laughed out loud, but then I looked up Jed Hoyer. You might have been kidding, but I don't think so. Hoyer worked for Theo in Boston, too. Then he got the San Diego gig and let Theo undress him, then he goes to Chicago and is Theo's GM. Beyond incestuous. You were kidding on the square.
  25. Say "Goodnight", Greg.
