Former closer. Throws hard. His MO is that he starts the season verry effectively, then seems to lose it late in season.

Mariners re-acquired Mike Morse from Nats. Too bad we could not get him.

Frank wasn't that bad in the field. He was very good at trapping short throws. He could not throw, but teams rarely took advantage of that, which always surprised me. Does anyone here remember him throwing to third?

The Rockies are desperate for pitching, and they have several young infielders and outfielders who can both hit and play good defense. Plus, the Colorado GM's, and I'm trying to state this delicately, are not very smart.

All this talk about getting Cargo is a pipe dream. It would take a monster package to get him. Sox are better off trying to get one of their other outfielders, namely Charlie Blackmon.

Sounds like this kid has a great attitude, and we know he has great wheels. If he has no setbacks, he might get as high as AAA next season. I hope he continues to give updates via SoxTalk.

Upton played very well against the Rockies the last 2-3 years, for whatever that's worth.

This looks like a good move. He might not be an all star, but he smacks of being a legitimate Major Leaguer, which is step up.

I said this somewhere before, but the Rockettes have a couple of guys who can play third AND hit, and they are desperate for pitching. Nelson and LeMehieu (sp). Pacheco, too, but he would be more expensive.
