Last year several posters here mentioned that Montgomery was sitting out a lot of games. Now that the dust has settled, does anybody know why? Possible reasons: He was over-matched. He was hurt. Rosters were so big they had to sit a lot of players.

Nope. There will be plenty of free agents available to replace Leury. We will have 2 or 3 in our own minor league system

Lots of low points last season. Engel dropping the flyball with two outs in the 9th was the worst. However, I can sense optimism returning here.

Escobar is a bad idea. Josh Harrison got most of the PT at second, and he had a horrible first 30-45 days, possibly due to injury. After that, he was okay. In fact, he was about the same as Escobar with a few less homers. Escobar is another NLer well past 30 who will create a lot of negative posts on SoxTalk in 2023. Plus, he's expensive. I would rather play our rookies.
