  1. You just somehow made an argument that Reinsdorf is better than 16 MLB owners.
  2. But Kim Ng on the market just reinforces what a stupid hire Chris Getz was. Ng, James Click and Chaim Bloom are all available. I'm sure there are plenty of other GMs that would be able to learn an org in under a year. They probably don't retain Grifol because they don't have the Royals connection. Suddenly you can interview real managers.
  3. I mean, I also do this. It's also why the Bears should take a fullback at #1.
  4. I know it's not gonna happen, but JR also said we're not rebuilding next year so can we really believe him?
  5. I mean, it has to be. It'd be so weird to take it off the griddle and place it on the scale.
  6. Eloy and Cease are definitely special talents. Just because the Sox fucked up the development of a guy who hit 31 HR in 122 games his rookie year doesn't mean he's not talented. With the Cubs he's probably an All-Star at this point. Granted, he was a SS in 2020, so he's probably an All-Star that year. Also, he has no bearing on the Chapman trade, so beautiful strawman.
  7. The phrasing of this sentence reminds me of A&W's Third-of-a-Pound burger: https://www.snopes.com/news/2022/06/17/third-pound-burger-fractions/ Anyway, that's my sparse contribution to this thread.
  8. Maximum hilarity would be KW being hired as Marlins' VP or GM.
  9. MLB scout: Colson Montgomery is the best position player drafted by the Sox since Frank Thomas Greg: Trade him for Salvador Perez. f*** analytics.
  10. Grifol sees a rookie trying too hard and making mistakes: "I'm going to publicly rip him to establish accountability." Grifol sees a vet slacking and making mistakes: "Carry on you've earned leeway." Culture.
  11. Reinsdorf: "We're not signing pitchers to long-term, 10-year deals." Ohtani: "I'm not pitching in 2024."
  12. Touki Toussant about to obliterate Will White's 1879 record of 680 IP in a season.
  13. In review: Bochy, Harper, and Castellanos= bad decisions for the White Sox
  14. Remember when the thought process behind not pursuing Castellanos was that he wasn't good defensively so we should avoid him. Then we played Gavin Sheets in right field.
  15. A United Center employee snapped it during the Harper/Machado offseason. It's the UC. No no no. It was definitely Moncada's defense causing him to give up home runs in the NLDS.
  16. That's cause Houston is full of NERDS THAT USE ADVANCED STATS.
