This is normal for the Rockies scoreboard operator. Every now and then it goes viral and everyone goes ?.

I remember a common take when he was signed was "this will be worth it for the start of the contract, but then it will be rough and we can move him to DH." The problem was Eloy started getting injured by just existing, which forced rapidly Vaughn onto the roster as a OF, and everyone else that's younger than Grandal went to s%*#. Also Collins was able to do approximately nothing.

I honestly don't feel bad for injuries like this. It's just like Quentin's. Controlling emotions is part of the game. If Eloy did this, it'd be non-stop mockery. If Moncada did it, it'd be "he finally shows emotion and of course he gets hurt."

I feel real dumb because when I initially saw they drafted him on the draft tracker, I saw 4YR-SO and my brain just saw "4YR-S_" I thought we punted with a senior as our #2 pick for savings. Getting a sophomore (who is apparently talented, just coming off injury) to sign for slot value instead of returning to LSU (where he could possibly up his value) seems like a pretty sound gamble from both sides.

I'm personally at the point where I'm hoping Ramos/Sosa/Gonzalez becomes the answer.
