  1. I saw that the Browns pretty much can't trade Garrett until after the draft or they'll take a ~$30M cap hit? I know that would pose a really, really risky endeavor for the Bears, but if they leave some cap room open, an ideal scenario seems like: - Sign Smith, Dalman - Draft Campbell / Banks - Get a RB like Kaleb Johnson with one of the second rounders - Hopefully Cunningham gets hired and they can build out the rest of the lines with the picks. Here's what a GM told Russini the price could be. If the cost is really 2026 picks and forward, I think you have to do this if it works out. Again, I have zero understanding of the cap.
  2. The TL;DR is that the line was a large deciding factor.
  3. Luka Doncic is distracting everyone so they can sneak DeLoach through waivers.
  4. Getz kept Colas over DeLoach? I'll be damned.
  5. When you miss an open court dunk while up 30, fall and break your leg.
  6. Zavala hits below .200 again because his beautiful, effortless swing ends up just being just being hype from one trainer on Twitter? There's no such thing as a "no floor" prospect. Thorpe loses anything coming back from injury and gets shelled. Iriarte becomes Kopech 2.0
  7. Fair point re: Insiders. But as a counterpoint, AKME are some of (if not the) worst at asset management in the league. I'll argue that bigger sins were: Not trading DeMar and Caruso once it was clear things were falling apart, extending Pat, extending Vuc and just an outright refusal to get a real #4. Lavine is one of the best pure scorers in the league. Before the new penalties, that contract was gonna happen for any player. It looked a lot worse with his injury + before his return to form, but contracts like Poole, Beal, Simmons, Grant, Draymond, Middleton, Wiggins (depending on how you view him as a player) and I'd even argue Embiid at this point, were/are all right up there. Someone was gonna give him that deal.
  8. Throw in the fact that we know they had two second rounders on the table for Drummond.
  9. Amendment: Apparently the Spurs already owned the Bulls '25 second rounder, for what it's worth.
  10. With the new cap restrictions, second rounders have value as cheap players. But now they need to include it to fix a prior AKME mistake. All the while other teams reportedly had interest in Zach. To really hammer home the fleece job the Kings just did
  11. Lmao Bulls gave up a pick
  12. Tre Jones, Zach Collins, Kevin Huerter They for real did a salary dump.
  13. Kings got Zach and three firsts. The f*** are the Bulls getting?
  14. The Kings really saw the Bulls roll out Zach and DeMar for years and said "we'll do that "
  15. I'm calling the Lakers about Vuc, the Warriors about Zach, and the Mavs about Lonzo, Ayo or Coby (in that order. Also Pat, if Harrison actually doubles down on crazy). I have absolutely zero faith the Bulls could ever accomplish such a thing, but one consideration is that Doncic can't get a supermax anymore. Teams should have their eyes on that summer.
  16. Nico Harrison is the guy that fumbled Curry for Nike. This is just one dead being brain dead. He also said AD will start at the 4 and end at the 5, so you know, really devaluing Lively, Gafford and Washington. What I'm getting at: Nico! Look at Pat's, uh, hot streak. And defensive potential. What do you think about a swap, my man?
  17. This is actually what happened, lmao. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/mavericks/2025/02/01/dallas-mavericks-luka-doncic-trade-lakers-anthony-davis-max-christie/
  18. To be fair, when a GM randomly zeroes in on Anthony Davis and you're the Lakers being offered Luka Doncic, that doesn't seem like a hard deal to negotiate. "Hey do you guys want Luka? We want Davis to pair with Kyrie." "Wait, what? Yes."
  19. Shams is literally out here tweeting "Yes, this is real." There has to be some insane drama that puts Jimmy to shame.
  20. The Dodgers basically took the Air Bud approach and went "is it against the rules? No? Then we're gonna do it."
  21. If they were operating under the old CBA, I think it'd be a lot different. But new rules make moving him difficult.
  22. Nah. Brad Keller and Justin Morneau will never get the "old friend" tag.
  23. Turns out the Sox need to eat the entire contract if they want Lux.
  24. The Dodgers have 7 on the list besides Roki. They are absolutely unreal machine.
