Man, Q will forever be underrated. Also, this is tempting me to buy Skyrim again. http://www.darkcreations.org/beyond-skyrim/

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Feb 20, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) Man, the 2013 pre-injury version of Crain would look great on this team. I always like that guy and don't think he got enough credit for how good he was with the Sox even in 2011,2012. Time with Sox: 12-9, 2.10 ERA, 3.09 FIP, 1.167 WHIP, 2.71 K/BB, 3.5 fWAR in 150 innings. Pre-injury 2013 Crain on this team is very scary. I do like that there is genuine competition for the pen this year.

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Feb 20, 2015 -> 04:56 PM) After their evisceration of the CBA in regards to their INTL, this deal should not be allowed to go through. It shouldn't, but sadly it will.

Wow, hope Bosh is OK. I always disliked him least of the Big 3 and actually kinda like him this year. Sucks for Miami, they went from possible upset team post Dragic trade to cannon fodder.

KJ McDaniels to Rockets Philly with the shameless tank.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 18, 2015 -> 07:40 PM) Yeah, now. Back in 2002, everybody outside of LA said he he'd suffer a great deal without Shaq. Westbrook is the most physically/athletically gifted pg in nba history, with an impressive skillset to boot. He'd be just fine without KD. I love Russ, but Magic? The court vision to go with his height and ball handling skills might not be explosive, but it's amazing. And MVP Rose is still the fastest / pagan god of layups. I'd agree that Russ is most explosive though.

QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 04:54 PM) I'm guessing this means Vlad Jr. worked out for teams today, including the Sox. https://twitter.com/BBDominicano/status/567818946449010688 Excellent.

http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...oster-invitees/ This week we discuss Nolan Sanburn, Dan Black, Jared Mitchell and Michael Taylor.

People forget that during his MVP year and the following year, Derrick Rose was god damn near elite defensively. His problem was playing down to competition, but when he wanted to he was a nightmare for opposing PGs. This years Westbrook is close to MVP Rose, but people are really forgetting how damn good he was, even when he couldn't buy a call to save his life.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 16, 2015 -> 06:19 PM) I was fighting for Robert because that's my dad's name, Roberto Clemente and Robert F. Kennedy.....but it sounds like "robot" in Chinese English so I have compromised to Ethan Robert if it's a boy. For a girl, Chloe or Zoe(y). Probably Zoe(y), because Chloe is a perfume and also for the Salinger short story. Chloe sounds too much like a celebrity kid's name, although Zoe kind of does, too. "One Dog" or "Lance On Point" are tempting. Or The Deacon. As for the Angels' pick, a lot depends on Richards' health. He was their ace last year before the injury. And I wouldn't be betting on anything more from Hamilton and Pujols than what they provided last year. Congrats Caulfield! Totally go with One Dog.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Feb 14, 2015 -> 10:49 PM) He was spectacular, and that's about it. I love when we get spectacular dunks that don't need props.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 14, 2015 -> 04:55 PM) Well they are the 3rd seed in the East currently. I said it was a disappointing
-
It's been a disappointing first part of the season, but there are positives to build on going into the ASB. Jo is looking more and more active. Gasol and Jimmy showing no signs of slowing down. Derrick beginning to attack more, pulling out the old MVP moves. Shooting less threes. Snell gaining confidence. McDermott is healthy. Dunleavy is back. Kirk is on the bench at the moment.

Sporcle quiz I made 5 years ago
Quin replied to ChiliIrishHammock24's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Feb 12, 2015 -> 01:07 AM) While I was in St. Louis last weekend for the Hawks game, my family was talking about a sports quiz I made up years back and I was able to actually find it on Sporcle. I think I've posted this here before years ago, but here it is again. http://www.sporcle.com/games/JoeCoolMan24/...houtCityorState Anyone get all 8? -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 05:01 PM) I always love articles that say the team is going to be bad, but on the other hand he wouldn't be surprised if they won 90 games. He will count himself correct in October no matter what happens. That was my favorite part. "They will either be under .500 or really, really good."

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) Someone refresh my memory on why the Sox don't qualify for the competitive balance rounds? I believe the 10 teams in the smaller markets and/or 10 with the lowest revenue qualify for the lottery. The Sox attendance was among the lowest the past few years, ergo low revenue (unless we really save THAT much with the low rental cost of the Cell). I understand Cardinals are in because of their market size, but how did Mariners qualify again? Because apparently the Cubs don't exist.

Dylan O'Brien and Ansel Elgort would be good picks. Drake Bell actually wouldn't be a bad pick, but I'd avoid it. Zac Efron has been cited. Also: Stay away from Donald Glover / Maguire / Gyllenhall. They're all too old for a character that will likely be in his late teens / early 20s. Also, they aren't going to make Peter African-American because they have Miles Morales and they explicitly stated that they aren't doing Miles Morales.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 08:01 AM) At the cost we are talking about here ($80 million + no real international signings for two years) to me it isn't worth it. Moncada basically has to be Mike Trout to justify it.

If you could acquire one last player to complete the offseason...
Quin replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd love Beachy as a reclamation project. As far as aim for the moon; Moncada or Longoria. -
Sony and Marvel reached an agreement to include Spidey in MCU films.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:29 PM) Jeff Passan @JeffPassan 3h3 hours ago The Padres are taking over the world: Sources say San Diego is working out Yoan Moncada today and plans to be aggressive in bidding for him. Wut
