  1. That was the only theory I could possibly come up with for such a stupid trade.
  2. Trade is a bad word for the Sox organization. They don't work yet fans say trade but forget the realistic part like for what? Stocked farm, getting a haul are just buzz words for the fantasy player. It's a false sense of reality when an organization can't develop or draft. Sure they night get lucky but history points the same direction as their sponsor.
  3. There is a trend of managers not getting rehired.
  4. The drawback many miss is the team getting worse in team speed. You don't want to be the 2006 Sox were HR are the main source or certain guys can't help score on the bases.
  5. LOL. Rain delay. BTW I think the Padres are not eliminated yet. The teams playing for the final spot are exhausted.
  6. No they wont. That's just a projection from someone suffering from habitual losing fanbase syndrome. Coulda, woulda ,shoulda, They are rental players. Do you really think the Cubs ignored any offers? They did the right thing. There's only room for one white flag baseball team in this town,
  7. Nope. They might have made an offer. The Sox non signings of pitchers seem like they know what they are doing.
  8. Too bad he doesn't use the same yardstick for Grifol
  9. gonna be longer than 3-4 months Just gotta hope TA bounces back
  10. Trade is such a bad word to throw around. Trade for what? We would like to believe a GM just might see something we don't. False assumption. Having unproven players in a farm system isn't always value. Let's not forget they can't develop anyone. Most likely what they get will be worse. It's an emotional bandaid. We would like to think there has to be another organization as naive as this one. The fact this organization is retaining a manager about to lose 100 games and ost likely keep the terrible coaching says this a very naive organization and GMs know this. Wishful thinking.
  11. LOL I can never forget Jim's replacement Lamar Johnson. Spencer was a gold glove. Lamar you'd think was one of Kenny's type of player.
  12. I've enjoyed watching the Marlins. Let me guess the is no love for possibly seeing Madrigal in the post season?
  13. Not much to read there that isn't new under the sun. It's still the Reinsdorf way. Two roses grew out of a bed of s%*# and Reinsdorf is hoping for a 3rd but I still smell a turd. I remember Grifol talking about what he seen from the Royals dugout concerning the Sox. I guess he forget the habitual pile of s%*# in his own. Obtaining people and players from habitual losing organizations seem to bring it with them. Any players that come from winning organizations are often the ones a team has no issue with them leaving. Wake me for the parade. Meanwhile I'll look for a new team.
  14. Maybe they forgot Herm and Cooper are no longer around.
  15. Look at what Bell is doing. Marlins are fun to watch. They are an underdog to make it to the post season. I'm glad he was traded so I don't have to tempt myself watching the shitty White Sox.
  16. Trade should be a forbidden word for Sox fans. There's logic and then there's history. History is ignored and always points to bad.
  17. He came from the Cub's farm system. The DH wasn't in the NL yet so I have to wonder would he have been traded. Sox are pretty bad at reducing players deficiencies. Sometimes I think they enhance them.
  18. If Jerry likes him he'll be here.
  19. The Rays make it work but they are unusual. Not everyone can model them and be successful.
  20. Red Sox owner tried the Reinsdorf method large but small market approach. Not really spending money.
  21. Like, "Hey guys I'm use to losing baseball. Losing 90 is part of baseball"
