Pick up Coco Crisp to play LF for about $3M or so, get a strong defensive RF, and now we've got one of the strongest defenses in baseball to go with a nasty rotation and a balanced lineup with a potent middle of the order. The bullpen would be the only questionmark, but at least there is physical talent there. I agree

I read on espn about a trade possibilty Jenks to cubs for bradley with the cubs eating part of bradley's contract .

First the pads wouldn't be interested in alexie they have a young good looking shortstop . any trade for Adrian Gonzales we will have to probably be center with Floyd or Danks most likely Floyd if i am the PADRES GM i am asking for Floyd Hudson, Flowers, and another 1 or 2 prospects . Now maybe the Sox would counter but I AM starting with that .

Why not try to get Josh Hamilton the Rangers have a lot of outfielders with Borbon ,Cruz, Murphy, Boggs . So it is possible and maybe can get him for some pitching prospects plus he is cheap salary wise and under team control for a while .

Beckham at 2nd would be perfect we would get great run production and solid defense from our 2nd baseman .Then if we pickup a solid 3rd baseman either in trade or free agency getting typical production numbers from that position more of a power hitter position . We could try and get Gamel from the brewers i know he wasn't great at defense there and didnt hit real well but he is still very young and maybe we could get him fairly cheap .
