I think a hitting coach goes over opposing ptchers and preps hitters as to what to expect from them. Makes sure they know the dimensions and ground rules in all ballparks. Advises them as the team approach& how to respond to hitting in situations that call for placement of ball. I'm sure they do some tutoring on a guy's swing but who would make it all the way to the bigs with their swing and then change it? I don't think he deserved much blame early or a whole lot of credit now. I'll bet he is doing nothing different than he has always done.

It seemed Walker was being blamed when the Sox were not hitting. Does he now get praised because they have improved?

Not Juan Uribe. Uribe is totally wild at the plate. Viciedo while still undicsiplined will never be that kind of free swinger. Of course he will never have Uribe's glove either. I'm thinking more of a Carlos Lee. Is his future already that of a DH? You can't use him at third he'll kill us there with that iron glove.

I was at the game. He was shaky at first but settled down and his body language began to show some confidence. Everything the Sox do lately seems golden. Maybe this is our year!

What is the big confusion on this trade? The Sox got an established starter to take Peavey's spot. He can eat up a lot of innings and help keep the bullpen fresh. He is more what we need at this point in time than a rook who we don't know what he is going to give us. Hudson potential? Maybe, but so did Brandon McCarthey . Any one miss him? Dunn would be seperste deal. I don't think we need him. Ozzie changed this team from the sort of regular dh who strikes out alot, hits into double plays and can't run. He has the type of team he wants. Lets leave it alone now that we have another starter and keep it going the way we have been. Detroit is falling back and Minnesota is overated. They don't have the pitching. Starting or relief. GO SOX!

Viciedo goes down for sure. Teahan is utility. Ozzie will stack the lineup with left handers at times and at other times play the hot bat ( Kotsay,Teahan). I think people who want to dump Kotsay forget he is our only backup at first if Konerko get injured.

I feel so much better with Pierre-Omar batting 1-2 & Alexi-Vizquell at third and short that I think not only should he come back but the Sox NEED him to come back.

Been a Sox fan since the sixties. A few good years here and there. Since Kw and Ozzie have been running things we either win or are competitive every year This franchise has gained alot of respectability in the last 5-7 years. We have become accustomed to being close and or in the playoffs and world series. Lets not get greedy and end up worse off than we are now. I believe the Sox will continue to knock on the door and even win another championship with this tandem. ..........There are times they can really piss ya off though!

What's wrong with Jenks? His velocity is good. He is not throwing the curve as much but when he does it seems to be good. Keep him in the mix and if no one becomes a lock down closer then give it back to him. I hate when we lose, but the way we lost the last game in Minnesota and the last game in Seattle really hurts.

Dye was once a very good outfielder. He slowed later and that cost him but he was and probably still is better than CQ in the field. If CQ is DH then we have "swing for the fences with every swing" Jones in the batting order. Pick your poison.

I've listened to hawk since he started with the Sox. It's all true. He is homer, and the dead air, whatever else you want to heap on him in negative way I won't argue with. But as a Sox fan I like a homer, I like the joy of a win and the pain of a loss he gives us. I dread a national telecast because we don't have Hawk to celebrate or suffer with. As for Stone? He was a cub so it is taking a while to warm up to him, but I am beginning to respect his insights. He is starteing to get excited by our run and I like the entusiasm. Go Hawk and go Sox!

Package Teahan in a trade deadline trade. The hated "cubs" wanted him at one time if I remember right. Teahan for Zombrano?

He is not a 2 hitter. Leave him where he is. If gets and stays hot move him up to the 6th spot. He is a rbi man not a bat handler.

If he doesn't go in as an Indian, then who can say for sure mlb would put "the big hurt" in as a white sox. You must have consistency in this area.
