I was wondering why righty Pereria was in there. I didn't even consider Braden could be moved. Maybe showcasing Pereria.

Seems to me the Mariners dumped a fairly big contract and a fading pitcher on us. The Sox did not give up much. So we shall see how the rotation is set up. There is still a long way to go in this season. Fatigue and injury are always lurking. Now, if nothing else we have a little depth.

A couple more today would be nice to add to the list.

Of course we have all the answers for a professional hitter, but in my humble opinion he needs to relax and take his walks. Stop swinging at that low inside pitch and force the pitcher to throw a strike.

The bullpen has really flourished for a while now. Forget giving away a prospect for a reliever, A starter is still a need.

Terrible send, on Montgomery to the plate. Take it back one step. Why no pinch runner for a guy essentially playing on one leg late in the game? Number 10 does his job again and Montgomery is an easy out limping to home plate.

I believe they are both out of options. So, one comes up and the other? Stays on rehab assignment for as long as is allowed? Back to the IL on a new fake injury? Dfa? Traded is my guess. I think Pereira joins the active roster and Hays is traded before the deadline.

Ok so tell me which one? With Austin Hays and Everson Pereira both due to be off the IL, Perez will go away. Both have no options left. Who stays and who gets traded or waived. Who is the keeper right now. Which one?

Seems to me Quero is the right move now. He has shown ability in the past. Even this season he got a few big hits, but mostly he knows the pitching staff, and it is a continuity factor. A familiar face and just keep pushing. I know someone will throw up his stats and say no way. All true he has mostly sucked this season, and his defense is bad too. All things considered a trade, or a signing are risky too and internally Lee must be poison. So, bring Quero back. Stay the course.

So, if 2 goes to 4 why to 6 or 8? Why not every pitch then? Gotta get them right, no? Just go to all robotic system? Also, who is to say the image we see on the screen is right? Who confirms the image isn't off a millimeter or two. This system will just have to evolve and correct as time goes by. We are just observers. Personally, I think its ok the way it is.

Getting a first of the series win on the road against their best pitcher would be sweet. Especially if the Sox can make them spend their bullpen.
