I'm not sure this belongs in this thread, but I got to get it off my chest. ..........How long can our Sox keep Mune in the second spot? He has become a liability overall. For his own good and ours something has to change there. A couple of days off? DH more? Bat him in front of Peters at about 6th in the batting order. To just keep letting him whiff with men in base is not working. This is a pennant race. It's all about winning games now.

And it still seems as though he is not trusted by.....well, anyone. What else does he gotta do?

Mune has been just about as bad. The big three is down to Vargas.

I'm trying to stay positive, but relying on magic and miracles is not a winning strategy. I'm seeing Antonacci and Miedroth trying to slug instead of just being contact hitters that they are. What to do with Mune and Colson? Bring Bonemer up and move Vargas to first? Send Colson to AZ. for another tutoring session? Something has got to give with them. This is a legit pennant race now, not just a fun turnaround year.

I'm feeling the Sox would like to keep Thorpe on rehab if possible until the September call ups. If not possible then call Thorpe up and send down someone else for a few days recalling that person on 9/1. However, roster eligibility for the playoffs could then be a concern

Benintendi batted 3 times with the bases loaded and plated 1 run. I know the pitching staff is in shambles right now but too often our Sox just don't hit. Play a little more small ball. Tack on runs even one at a time. Mune strikes out too much.

This season reminds me of 2000, when Sirotka, Baldwin and Parque were all slightly injured or just fatigued down the stretch and the Sox limped into the playoffs.

How can we be certain what we see on the screen is 100% accurate?
