John Danks
I don't see STL giving up pick #39 for Danks.

4/27: Sox Vs Os - POSTPONED DUE TO RIOTS
Would have been great for me if they did.

4/27: Sox Vs Os - POSTPONED DUE TO RIOTS
That has to be a misprint. Why on earth would you put Beckham at 3B and Gillaspie at SS???
-
Abreu vs Thomas through 162 games
Not a terribly fair comparison given their respective ages during their first 162 games.
-
Sale and Samardzija Suspended 5 Games
Worked out fine for the Sox.

Wainwright out for the season?
Your opinion or is this actually happening?

Bench clearing brawl
I have two very good friends from Valpo who are both huge Cubs fans and it's absolutely killing them that he's on the Sox now.

2015 Cubs Catch-All thread
A category on Jeopardy last night . . .

2015 MLB Catch-All Thread
Probably enough time for a commercial or two.

Attendance 2015
That actually makes more sense than any other reason that's been given.

Attendance 2015
I looked up all the open air/retractable roof parks: (14) Face NE (or NNE or ENE): Fenway, Yankee, Oriole, Kauffman, Safeco, O.co, Angel, Citi, Turner, Nationals, Wrigley, Busch, AT&T, Dodger (8) Face SE (or SSE or ESE): Rogers, US Cellular, Comerica, Globe Life, Marlins, PNC, Great American, Miller (6) Face N: Progressive, MinuteMaid, Citizens Bank, Coors, Chase, Petco (1) Face E: Target A NE-facing park gets the setting sun in the face of most of your fielders. A SE-facing park affects LF severely but not RF/CF as much. The north-facing parks seem like they might have the least impact. Clearly teams have avoided anything in the NW/W/SW/S range to avoid affecting the hitters.

2015-2016 NFL Thread
After the Hawks and Bulls bring home trophies in June, and the Sox add one in October, there's going to be a lot of pressure on the Bears to complete the collection.

4/23 - White Sox vs. Royals 7:10 CST
The same error was made in yesterday's game thread and the Sox won the game, so the error needs to remain in the thread for today's game.

MLB Franchise Four
Collins and Baines appeared in exactly the same number of games for the Sox. Collins managed a better OPS than Baines while playing a more difficult position.

The pen is stepping up
Yeah, add Hermanson in there. 2005 ERA+: Cotts 233 Politte 225 Hermanson 221
-
The pen is stepping up
Yeah, on paper this bullpen is better than '05, but the seasons that Cotts and Politte had are going to be hard for even the most talented relievers to reproduce.
-
Attendance 2015
I don't like sitting in the upper deck at ANY stadium, but yeah, this one is better than most.

David Robertson is a f***ing beast.
What? You really think he can't go through the entire season with a 0.00 ERA, 0.40 WHIP and 18.0 K/9?
-
The pen is stepping up
When have they not protected leads? Sox have won every game that they were leading when the starter left the game. There just haven't been very many leads to protect so far.

TV Baseball for the Out of Towner Sox fan
For each time slot, there are primary and secondary games. The primary game is shown nationally EXCEPT within the blackout territories of the teams involved. In those areas the secondary game is shown. For 4/23, the Sox are the primary game, so everybody outside the Chicago and KC markets will get that game. People in the Chicago and KC markets will get the other game (but should have access to the Sox/Royals game through the individual teams' broadcasts).

Rodon Joining Sox Tomorrow - Working out of Bullpen (Initially)
Yeah, they don't want to end up having to Strasburg him at the end of the season.

Hey Guys I Started A Production Company
Five posts in and nobody has asked the most important question yet: Will this miniseries have any female nudity?
-
4/21- White Sox vs Indians 7:10 PM CT
My best advice is to not live in Dixon.

And that's a White Sox Comeback Walk-Off Winner !!!
If nothing else you have to catch the ball and hope you can nail the runner on appeal for leaving early.

OBAMA/TRUMPCARE MEGATHREAD
I would have to look that up, which I don't have time to do right now, but off the top of my head I'm thinking that if there are no employees and only independent contractors, then it would not be considered a business with employees.
