  1. Only if Tony G ain't back next season. There's no point in signing an old guy who's gonna take up valuable playing time for a youngster e.g Miles, Harris etc.
  2. Y would u go see a the worst team in the NFL (now since the Cardinals won) getstheir asses kicked by the Packers when u can watch it on ABC and ESPN. Even a washed up Brett Favre will beat this team.
  3. That's like down here in Australia, when they Australian Rules Football if u touch a umpire, even if its not deliberate u can get suspended for a few weeks, which I think is the most stupidest thing. Umpire's r there to officiate the game, not influence it. Stupid thing by Smith to do though, but those things happen in a big rivalry game such as the Broncos vs the Raiders. U can stick a fork in da Raiders until Jerry Porter gets back though.
  4. I'm not arguing that JM should stay. The only logical thing they can do is relieve him of his duties. You can't fire the whole team, so the manager is the scapegoat. I've never bought into the whole concept of the manager being the difference maker. They say a good manager can get you what, 6-7 more wins a year. 7 out of 162 are won by the manager. It's done between the line. Just my opinion, of course. The manager can't be a difference maker? ....... Jack McKeon. I rest my case. Exactly right, Chicago and Florida r 2 very similar teams, and 1 could be going to the playoffs with the NL Wild Card and the other will prob have their team broken up during the offseason. It's all JM's fault, we should have never been below .500 bf the all star break in the 1st place, KW actually gave us a chance to win this but in the clutch the players didn't deliver. Simple as that.
  5. Hey at least Steinberner's gonna be peeved because of this. He'll probably fire da whole staff and half da players because of this.
  6. I tried to make a banner where I had a picture of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld and replaced him with JM's head. That's his new job after he gets canned.
  7. Yeah I could look at those pics of Elisha Cuthbert all day if I wanted to, lol.
  8. Frank deserves to be back next year at the expense of Paulie in my opinion. Let's just hope we don't into MAJOR rebuilding mode in 2004, otherwise Frank's said he's goin.
  9. I think JM's just about to walk da plank.
  10. In 1 corner we have Jabba the Hut and in the other we hav the Krispy Kreme poster boy. Should make for some interesting viewing, but frankly who gives a damn anymore.
  11. How ironic that Jose says he hopes this team stays together when he ain't gonna be with this ballclub next year in all likelihood. And don't make Jon Garland the scapegoat for our lousy finish to the season either JM. Maybe if we actually brought some offence to the Twinkie series we could still be in this race.
  12. U see my explanation for all the stupid, pathetic and boneheaded decisions that Jerry Manuel has made is because he must have been hit by a baseball in the head like Kramer did standing on the Yankees dugout. I mean how else would u explain the years of mediocrity and underachievement that this ballclub has put us through. Just when they get ur hopes ups, they usually blow it normally due to one of JM's blunders.
  13. Yeah I'm in exactly the same situation at school when I'm on soxtalk.com in my spares. Most ppl think I'm lookin at nothing but porn cos of all da naked chicks in here, lol.
  14. Jerry's halfway to Florida by now. No turning back now.
  15. It'll be Ichiro for sure. Lee's got no chance, but he's come a LONG way with his fielding though.

  17. Jerry Manuel ain't gonna be in Sacrmento. He's gonna be down with da Seinfelds at Del Boque Vista in Florida running for Club President.
  18. Tuomo Ruutu's his name, and he's going to be one hell of a player evantually. He's been compared to guys like Jeremy Roenick and even Peter Forsberg. In the Blackhawks preseason game against St. Louis (4-4 tie) he scored his first goal on a rebound created from his own shot. Here's an article from chicagosports.com Ruutu displays feistiness By Bob Foltman Tribune staff reporter It's dangerous to draw conclusions from just one exhibition game. But after Tuomo Ruutu's debut in the Blackhawks' 4-4 tie Sunday with St. Louis, one thing is certain: Ruutu is something Hawks fans haven't seen in quite a while. On his first shift, Ruutu drilled Blues defenseman Christian Laflamme into the boards. On his second shift, he scored on a rebound of his own shot. "He's a young guy [who] plays like a man, and he plays a man's game," coach Brian Sutter said. Getting that first goal so early in the preseason was one less thing to concern Ruutu. "It's nice to have the first goal," he said. "Then you don't have to think about it." But his tenacious, physical play opened everyone's eyes. Ruutu hammered defenseman Jame Pollock and then, as he was skating back to the bench, dropped Daniel Tkaczuk. Late in the first period, after absorbing a clean, hard Ruutu hit into the boards, Jamal Mayers tried to jump Ruutu from behind, knocking off his helmet. Ruutu skated away—and Mayers skated to the penalty box. "It's just a game, giving it to him, giving it back," Ruutu said. "Why fight him in the first period? I want to play." Mayers had Ruutu lined up for revenge in the second period as Ruutu took the puck down the boards. But the hunter became the hunted. Ruutu dropped his right shoulder and sent Mayers backward and flat on his back. He was still carrying the puck. "You saw what happened when a big guy took a run at [him]," Sutter said. "The big guy fell down. That was the end of them running at him." Ruutu's style is sure to agitate NHL foes. "Nobody likes me," he said. His teammates and Hawks fans will disagree. Personally I think it's great to see a young guy like him who can score and piss ppl off and he hasn't even played in a regular NHL game yet. He's actually gonna giv Hawks fans sumthin to look forward to for once. I just hope he doesn't get decked by some goon lookin to send a message.
  19. I'm gonna try and make a banner or either Jerry, Kramer and George sitting in da restrauant, and replacing their heads with JM, KW and JR, or of Morty and Jerry's Mom and JM down at Del Boque Vista. Just gotta find a pic of that now.
  20. Rob, what should the White Sox do to prepare for next season? Obviously having the most talent on paper is not working for them in the Central. Rob Neyer: I'm not convinced they've got the most talent (though I did pick them, last spring, to edge the Twins in the Central). But before next season, I think the Sox need to 1) figure out why their young pitchers haven't developed, and 2) fire the manager. Jerry Manuel may be a fine manager, but I don't think he's the right man for this particular job. Del Boque Vista has got a condo ready for ya Jerry.

    MLB Gameday

U might need Java Arcade 6? to run it, cos at my school I can't run ESPN or MLB Gameday cos they don't have that installed.
  22. I doubt Tejada goes to the O's. He wants to play for a contender and not a team that gonna be stuck in mediocrity for a few years. They want guys with some pop, so Jose would probably be a good fit over there. I dunno where Tejada would go actually. Maybe the Mariners if they don't get Kaz, or da Rockies. But me thinks he'll be in a Dodger uniform in 2004.
  23. Well thank god Tony G played today. There's no way Jose is coming back next year on that bloated salary. He almost went to Baltimore a few years back, and I think he'll be picked up by the O's in FA if we find a replacement for him (Matsui, Eckstein, Guzman etc.)
  24. That's the one Maybe he can become Club President while he's down there. But he'll probably pull a bone-headed decision of leaving his shoes on in the Lounge thus blowing his chance at that.
  25. Well here are some of my ideas for a new banner. 1) JM bending over and a door hitting him in the ass. 2) JM being pushed off a cliff by Doug Mientkiewcskpcokopdc 3) KW fishing and pullin in a JM, then chucking it back. 4) Countdown to JM gettin his ass canned from here. 5) JM moving in with da Seinfeld's down at Del Boque Vista. 6) JM gettin hit by a baseball in the head like Kramer did standing on the Yankees Dugout, thus expalining all the boneheaded decisions he's made.
