Jones is in da bullpen for da Red Sox, Suppan's at 84 pitches.
-
Tribe now up 3-2 over Minny, YES!!!
-
Hmm should Carlos have come around there, would he have made it?
-
Yeah he has, but I think he's won sumthin like his past 4 games, so he's obviously been pitching well. A complete game from him was huge for da Twins the other night.
-
Yeah if it was a big, big game one that we absolutely needed to win, call me crazy but I'd actually want Colon to pitch it at da moment. Loaiza has been great this season, and probably deserves Cy Young (betcha Roy Halliday wins it though), but he starting to look tired and I think he's got way more run support than Bartolo has this year. Don't forget Bartolo won 20 games last year, with da Tribe and the Expos.
-
Yeah Suppan hasn't looked that good since he got traded in the fire sae from Pittsburgh. Let's hope he continues to crack in the spotlight at Fenway when we play them, we need him to.

Was just on Foxsports.com and here's some stuff from their latest Inside Corner by Dave Van Dyck. AL Central race heating up Question: At the start of this week, which team had the major league's best record since the All-Star break and which team had the second-best record? You would be correct if you answered "Minnesota" and "the Chicago White Sox." Impossible, you say? Not if you look at the records: 32-17 for the Twins and 31-17 for the White Sox as they prepared for four games this week and three again next week. So what's the point? Well, maybe the AL (Comedy) Central has been taking a bad rap. "People say how weak our division is, but we have three good teams," Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire said while including Kansas City. "I don't think anybody wants to play us at this time of year. That says a lot for our division." Sorry to say, Gardy, but teams fear the White Sox more than your Twins, only because the White Sox can win with offense (Magglio Ordonez, Frank Thomas) and starting pitching (Esteban Loaiza, Bartolo Colon, Mark Buehrle) that is as good in a five- or seven-game series as any team has. In the last month, the White Sox have won two of three games from Oakland and the Yankees, although they did lose a pair of one-run games to Boston. The Twins did start the second half with four straight victories over Oakland, but have beaten up mostly on Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Texas and Anaheim. The rest of the schedule is the same, giving the Twins a huge advantage. The White Sox don't play any teams under .500 the rest of this season. The Twins still have 13 games left against some of the worst teams, including a final-weekend series against the Tigers. The truth is, while the White Sox were getting lots of public notice for their second-half surge, the Twins kind of snuck up on the field after a very mediocre first half that saw players (like free-agent-to-be Eddie Guardado) and the front office sniping at each other. "All the emphasis has been on the baseball field and we have not ventured off into contract issues lately," Gardenhire said. "Before the All-Star break, we stunk it up about as bad as you can. "But one thing that's never left our clubhouse is that we know we can play. We learned a lot last year. "We had a 13 1/2-game lead at this time last year, but when you're trying to clinch a division, you can't believe the pressure. You don't want to be the team that gags a 13-game lead." The Twins won't have that problem this year, but that confidence gleaned from making last season's playoffs will come in handy during the stretch drive. "Right now we're pretty focused, there's a lot of cheering going on, a lot of laughing, and we're getting breaks. You've got to be lucky." You also have to be good. And Gardenhire thinks the eventual Central winner will be plenty good come October. Here's da power alley from it. Top five teams 1. San Francisco: Getting healthy and better at the right time ... 2. Houston: Return of Roy (Oswalt) gives inspirational lift. 3. White Sox: One good week, one bad one. 4. Minnesota: Twins trying to show they belong. 5. Oakland: Not straight A's this past week. There were also some interesting news bout Free Agency Here's one to think about: The A's will lose MVP shortstop Miguel Tejada to free agency this winter — and could lose third baseman Eric Chavez the same way after next season. And if one team has enough money ... "Me and Miggy, anywhere; I'd love to go where he goes," Chavez said. Don't forget the A's probably will lose closer Keith Foulke to free agency after this season, too, after losing Jason Isringhausen, Jason Giambi and Johnny Damon that way two years ago. Rumors among the scouting community are the Orioles will return to being big players in the free-agent market this winter. They have money and they have incentive, believing they are just a couple of good players away from contending. First priority: Two starting pitchers, one of them a No. 1 (like Andy Pettitte or even former Oriole Sidney Ponson?). The Orioles may have to battle division rival Boston, which has its eyes on a No. 2 after Pedro Martinez. Hmm, I wonder if da Orioles could also go after Colon like da Yanks prob will? U gotta giv credit to Frank for da way he's handled it this season. Last year the guy looked washed up and was almost certain to be elsewhere next season. But he's really turned it around this season, and ever since he didn't get picked for the All Star Game in his home town (Wats up wi that?) he's comes back really really determined to prove to every1 what a big mistake that was, If we win da division, he should be named MVP.
-
Ok well we only scored 2 runs in da last 2 games. When's da last time that happened? U'd have to go back to pre All-Star game to find out a stat like that. Loaiza hardly got any close balls called strikes today and guys like Daubach were playin. We gotta win at least 4 out of the next 6, and we should be on top.

Italian Food, Pizza and Pasta Fish especially Salmon Anything BBQued Donuts, we just got our first ever Krispy Kreme shop down here. Better not tell Bartolo, lol.

Thanx whitesox247 for da nice birthday wish there. I turned 18 yesterday so now I can finally drive and buy booze down here, lol. It's too bad bout da date, but there's nothing I can do about it. Let's all hope they catch those jerks who caused da terrible tragedy of Sep. 11.

Well yeah I'm still positive as well, but we just missed a BIG oppurtunity to really grab a hold of this division. I don't think we will that good in Boston though, don't forget those guys r still fighting for a wild card spot and they took da 2 games away from us at da Cell. Da 3 games at the Metrodome r huge though. Whoever wins that series i think will win that division, I think it's that important. The thing that I'm most worried about Minny now is that their starters r doing well again. Santana and Radke r pitching well again, adnw e all know about their bullpen as well. We desperately need da Tribe and Tiggies to take some games away from them.
-
Well u don't like a player whoever he plays for even da Twinkies, to have such a devastating injury and force to miss the next season as well. They've had a very rocky ride indeed with their starters this year. Radke - Nowhere near his best and ERA is fairly high. Showing signs of picking it up though. Rogers - If they didn't sign this guy start of the year, they'd be behind KC right now and prob wouldn't be in the race. Most consistent starter for them all year. Santana - This guy has been lights out in his last 5 starts. When he pitches well he dominates, and best of all he's a lefty. He's the 1 Twins pitcher I'd luv to hav on this team. Milton - Missed all season with a knee injury bow I think he's rehabbing in da minors now. Lohse - Best pitcher for them at the start of the year, has struggled ever since though. Still it's only his 2nd year in the majors, got plenty of time to get it right at this level. Mays - Ever since we scored I think 8 runs in 2 innings at the Metrodome early in da season, he's had problems and has never looked the same as he did in da past. I'd seriously doubt in da Twinkies keep him now since he's gonna miss da next season. If he does leave, a team like Texas should really take a chance on him. Now u look at our starters compared to da Twinkies, they r still very fortunate to be in this race in my opinion. We all know how good they at the start of the year, scary to think if they get back to that form.

I've lost of a lot of respect for ESPN over the past few weeks especially the idiots who run Sportscenter. I mean last night for instance, big big game b/w the White Sox and Twinkies and it doesn't come on until halfway through da show. What's up wit that? It's all NL, NL, NL for da first half an hour. I think even Inside da Huddle was on bf it, nobody cares about that. Hellooo.... there's other teams in this competition too ya know. I can't stand that Linda Kohn either, she has the most annoying voice for a sports presenter u will ever hear.

Joe Posnansk: Pena Says "It's not over yet"
DBAHO replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well I'm shocked, our good friend from KC Joe has decided to write about his beloved Royals again. "But what it will take now. A miracle. Hey, anything's possible." Puh-lease, maybe he's just saying that to please his buddy from Espn, Rob Neyer. -
Falcons 49ers Chiefs Titans Dolphins Browns Packers Saints Bills Bucs Seahawks Chargers Raiders Eagles Vikings Giants Don't know if they'll count though cos I didn't get my Week 1 picks in in time.

1) Training Day, Denzel Washington is pure evil in that movie and was absolutely superb in it. I luved da movie because I thought it was like a Real Life Grand Theft Auto. 2) Lord of da Rings 3) Pirates of the Carribbean, just saw it, great movie. 4) Snatch, though Brad Pitt had the worst attempt at a Irish Accent u will ever see, lol.

Hmm Best player in da world I'm not too sure but here would be my best team Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon Left Back: Roberto Carlos Right Back: Glen Johnson (Potential, couldn't think of any1 else) Centre Back: Rio Ferdinand Centre Back: Roberto Ayala Left Wing: Harry Kewell Centre Midfield: Juan Sebastein Veron Centre Midfield: Rivaldo Right Wing: David Beckham Striker: Ruud Van Nistrelrooj Striker: Raul out of those, I'd probably say Raul's da best.

Hmm that's a very interesting article to read to say da least. I thought da Cell looked a little empty when we were playin Boston on ESPN. But it's good to see that the TV Ratings r up and that at least ppl can watch the game if they can't get there. (U readin this Bill Wirtz!!!) But the next step is to actually bring those ppl to the ballpark. I know when on ESPN.com when they were doing all da Ballpark tours, Pac Bell Park was such a great stadium because there was easy access to the park, by train, or by a bus that goes straight to da stadium. See I think we should be gettin at least 35,000 ppl for da Twinkie series and I think we might get that on Thursday with Cy Loaiza goin for his 20th, (There's an incentive for all u Chicago ppl, an ass whooping against our main rival, and one of our pitchers actually winning 20 games all in 1 day!!!) Da Sox r big with families as well. Reinsdorf needs to see that and offer incentive to these families to come to da Cell. Whew, that was a long post, lol.

Does any1 else here follow any soccer teams who aren't in the Major League Soccer? I support West Ham United in the 1st division of England and they don't have a manager at da moment but they guy they want (Alan Pardew) who manages another club just resigned but that club (Reading) won't accept his resignation? Frankly I think this is utter nonsense because every1 in England knows that this guy will take over and it's going to be a matter of time. Imagine if da Cubs wanted Manuel and he resigned, but KW and Reinsdorf wouldn't accept his resignation?
-
If he does come to America next year no matter what team he plays for over here any predictions for what his numbers will be? Will he struggle early like Hideki Matsui and come on late, or will he be a raging sucess like Ichrio?
-
Carlos Lee u've come a long way baby. He's been our most consistent batter all year whether or not it's at the 2 or 5 hole. That's what I luv about this guy. U can plug in anywhere in the order and he'll produce for ya. He seems like a guy who's just happy to be playin baseball to me.
-
f*** you, Mohron. I think Dustan Mohr just became Public Enemy No. 2 to White Sox fans behind Public Enemy No.1 Doug Minetwlaksnlkfnsaols who said the All Star game should have been moved. Hey Dustan, at least this team can hit home runs and oh yeah it's a lot of fun losing ain't it. Maybe da Twinkies should ship ya off to da Tiggies for a few seasons and it'll still be fun losing won't it. Idiot. Let's hope Jon gives him brain damage or sumthin with a fastball. :finger
-
Yeah is it just me, or anytime da WhiteSox r on, they're always quoting a quote from Manuel or some1, or showing an interview with da manager or like Buerhle had today. Maybe those jerks at ESPN r finally showing this team some luv.
-
LA has to be able to get a lead, before the bullpen can hold one. They won't be playing the Padres in the World Series. Well yeah that's been their major problem all year scoring runs, but they have won 10 out of their last 12 games I think, and they r starting to score some runs. Edwin Jackson debued and beat Randy Johnson, not too many guys can say they've done that. Since their fired their hitting coach, even guys like Beltre r starting to hit. Gagne deserves Cy Young if they make da postseason.
