Dye to Reds Speculation
Considering the Reds lost Affledt and they're probably gonna lose Weathers, I wonder if they'd be interested in any of our relievers?

I'm off to Rutgers again on Thursday Night to see them play Louisville. Got seats 4 rows from the front behind the end zone.

Huet needs consistent playing time to get it going, but the Hawks can't afford to do that right now. I think something has to be done here sooner rather than later, especially if they still want Sundin.

Pretty decent road trip for the Bulls, and it looks like they'll be battling for ones of those 6-8 spots in the East all season long. I still think if they could trade very cheaply for Brad Miller (e.g Sefolosa + something for him), they'd certainly make it then. Also the Magic take on the Celtics tonight. Orlando's been argubly the best road team in the NBA so far, but we're incredibly short-handed without Nelson, Pietrus and Bogans, forcing us to start Anthony Johnson and J.J Redick at the guard spots. Shows how good Howard has been (he's in MVP consideration right now IMO), and that Lewis and Hedo have picked up their games.

What kind of person are you?
I don't expect people to take off their shoes, unless they're dirty. Simple enough to follow I think.

Anyone do much snowboarding on here? I went on the weekend a few times up in Vermont, and can seen to get going alright and turn to the right (I'm a goofy stance), but I have problem stopping (e.g my idea of stopping is sliding on my ass) and turning to the left. Just need to practise more I guess.

Plaxico Burress accidentally shoots himself in the leg
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 1, 2008 -> 11:03 AM) I dont know, I think Gruden had his fill with MeShawn Gruden's taken on a lot of troubled players over his time though e.g Antonio Bryant for one. I think if anyone could control him, Gruden probably could, and they'll need a replacement for Joey Galloway in the off-season. I wonder if the Bears would look at Burress possibly?

Plaxico Burress accidentally shoots himself in the leg
If we didn't trade for Roy Williams, I'd say Jerry Jones would be all over Burress. My guess is, Plaxico ends up in Tampa Bay under Jon Gruden.

Dye to Reds Speculation
QUOTE (Fotop @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 02:31 PM) I highly doubt TB would move Wade Davis. Much more likely to deal Sonnenstine or Jackson, so if Williams were able to swing Davis he'd continue to prove his awesomeness. Davis > Bailey > Jackson, IMO. In general, I don't think the Reds matchup well because outside of Bailey and the untouchables (Votto, Bruce, Volquez, and Cueto) they don't really have many attractive trading chips. Also, just say no to Ryan Freel. He's old, can't stay healthy or run anymore, and is a utility player at best on a good team. Well I mean the Rays will have these 6 guys next season if they stand pat; Kazmir Shields Garza Sonnastine Jackson Price Not sure how Wade Davis fits into that equation. They may have to move 2 guys from the list above to fit him into the rotation at some stage. Hence why I think he's attainable for the right offer.

Dye to Reds Speculation
QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 02:40 PM) One thing to note...if the Sox do trade Dye, I'm going to be pissed that we traded Swisher. He could have taken over in LF, with Quentin moving to RF. The Sox can always sign a replacement in FA.

QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) Kenny has proved in the past to make deals for young pitching and it usually pans out to our benefit. However, I hope he waits around to see where the market goes before he shops Dye. The only team I would actively talk to would be Tampa. Edwin Jackson for JD would be awesome. Im sure Tampa would consider that if we eat about half of JDs contract. I disagree. I'd much rather Wade Davis. Jackson peripherals indicate he wouldn't be a success at the Cell, and he'd probably give up too many HR's.

Will the White Sox offer arb. to Uribe and Cabrera?
I'd say yes on OC. My guess is the Dodgers sign him as a replacement to Furcal, and use either him or Pierre as a leadoff hitter. Uribe is not as clear cut. I'd say no, simply because we've acquired Betemit to be the utility guy to replace him.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 11:14 AM) I'm not talking about deserving to start. I'm pointing out he has a great shot to start because of voting. Yeah you're probably right (not that it makes it right). Still someone like Vince Carter could still steal his thunder though. Still it reminds me of when Grant Hill got in back in 1995.
