  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) It seems our specialy is OF's lol... all our top prospects are always OF's...... Which I mean isn't a bad thing at all. We've seen how aggressive our GM is, and if we've plenty of good OF's in our minor league system, they can be traded in the right deal, and we'll still have some good ones.
  2. I gotta say, wouldn't it be nice if we could actually afford these cars (although it is easier for you yanks to do so, then for us down under).
  3. DBAHO

    Yay, 10,000

Thought you were never going to make it at one stage. (due to your slow postiness).
  4. I'm a Honda S2000! You live on the edge, and you live for the adrenaline rush. You don't need luxuries, snob appeal, or superfluous gadgets. You put your top down, get your motor revving, and take all the curves that life throws at you at full speed. So what if you spin out occasionally? And I drive a Honda too.
  5. So the Bulls had a good win tonight. Those 7/8 spots are starting to get competitive b/w Philly, Washington, Chicago, Orlando and Boston. I like our chances still of making it, IF, we can actually start winning a few games on the road, and the likes of Hill and Nelson can get back on the court, and stay there.
  6. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) Was Kellen Winslow II unavailable? B) Last time I checked he was trying to help the Poston Brothers recoup his signing bonus.
  7. Maggs was this from the BA Top 10 Prospect Chat? Also, IIRC Rogers was really hyping Salvador Sanchez at this 1 year ago, and Sanchez never got out of rookie ball (not that I'm saying he's a bad prospect).
  8. All the best to him. Hopefully for his sake he can come back and hit like to he used to.
  9. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 11:52 AM) According to doc, the Carpenter family already has a relationship with Parcells and we all know how big Parcells is on relationships, stand-up guys, hustle players, etc. The Cowboys are a definite possibility. No, not these Carpenters. It could depend on whether Chad Greenway is still on the board. At the moment I'd say our picks for the 1st round would be Greenway, Carpenter, Michael Huff or one of the RT's like Winston Justice in that order.
  10. Need player my ass. Coach - "Hey, you need to go get me some donuts or something."
  11. I went with Diaw, can easily get a triple - double every night if he wanted to. That said, he could be out of the starting lineup soon with Barbosa back. Otherwise I'd probably choose West. But I also think Jameer Nelson should be on that list. He's been phenomenal the past few weeks, with Francis going crazy and all.
  12. FWIW, the Cowboys have a need at LB, and if Carpenter is available at #18, I definitely think they could take him. Although knowing Parcells and Jones, we could easily trade up or down depending on the situation.
  13. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) Flaxx' DBAHO to American Dictionary: shout = buy a round of drinks. Hope it didn't cost you gobs of Vickies, Mate. Hey Jim, have you heard of a Belgium Beer called KWAK? My Dad's in Brussels at the moment and he's raving about it.
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) Wagner's still in AAA. He can't pitch for s***. He'd be a good "buy low" candidate for any team looking for a good young reliever. It's going to be hard for any pitcher to have any real success pitching at the Great American Ballpark.
  15. Let's not get overconfident now. Last season we took everyone by suprise. The World Series isn't won on paper. They've still got to go out there, execute to the best of their abilities, and hopefully all goes well for a repeat. But I'm expecting a greater challenge from Minnesota this season, and Cleveland will definitely be around the mark again.
  16. For those of you who don't have a job when the summer break comes around, enjoy it, because it's likely it ain't going to happen again (unless you're a lazy bum).
  17. Pulaski's DEAD!!!! He sounded like a fairly good actor though.
  18. So I've had too many beers tonight. It was my sister's last day at work, and of course me being the younger brother, forces me to shout everyone at the bar. And as for that Texas girl, well I wonder if she's been in a solarium lately.
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 10:29 AM) NY has nothing Indiana wants. Indiana's trying to unload bad contracts, not take on additional ones. Penny Hardaway + Trevor Ariza?
  20. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:29 AM) Thanks. I think Dumars would be foolish to give up on Darko so quickly. Well it's been mooted cos Cato has a 9M expiring contract, and they could need all the caproom they can get to re-sign Ben Wallace. I don't know right now, with their current contracts, if they re-signed Ben to the max, whether or not they would have to pay luxury tax.
  21. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:25 AM) Dbaho, have you heard anything about a Darko for Cato trade? Yeah I have, it's been coming from our end, and I'd do it in a second. I don't think Joe Dumars is that stupid though, even though he'd prob make us take Carlos Arroyo in a deal as well. Dooling and Cato for Milicic and Arroyo has also been mentioned. I can dream of a Darko / Dwight Frontline.
  22. Sigh, and Steve Francis to Indiana was looking so appealing. Will be interesting to see if this sparks the Queens into action though. Rick Adelman has been a dead man walkin lately.
  23. Walter Young got claimed by the Padres FWIW. Another option though could be Daryle Ward. He's streaky as hell, but a good backup lefty hitter to have. He had splits of .274/.339/.463 before the ASB (before he really fell away), and hit .281/.343/.454 against righties, which was a real sore spot for us last season.
  24. QUOTE(Drew @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) Last I checked, we still have Ross Gload... No I think he's KW's and Ozzie's Whipping Boy.
