  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) Duhon is a 10/6 guy who plays great d and doesn't turn the ball over, there are plenty of teams he'd start for. Ben sucks and shouldn't even be getting playing time and definitely shouldn't be starting. I'd agree with that. I'd much rather have a guy like Duhon starting instead of a Steve Francis who may have better numbers, but doesn't play defense and turns the ball over too much.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) I would also like to know why duhon was benched and ben was inserted in the starting lineup? Ben is horrid and Chris has just become such a good player and could be a starting pg for a lot of teams. Not complaining after tonight's win but it just doesnt make sense to me. I think Skiles was just trying anything to kick start his team. I will say this though, Ben Gordon has certainly fallen from grace since he won Rookie of the Year in the eyes of most of the Bulls fans here.
  3. Hey Joe Dumars, we'll giv ya Steve Francis for him!!!! Seriously though, Milicic would be great on a team like the Hawks who lack a true center. In fact, on almost any team other than Detroit who have such a good frontline, Milicic would probably be getting regular playing time.
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) At least 1 year away IMO. They will be a solid ballclub this season, no doubt, but I think St.Louis and Houston will rule the Central for AT LEAST 1 more season. Yeah the Brewers still need to upgrade their rotation a little in my mind. Sheets, Capuano and Davis are good, but they need Ohka and Bush to not be weaknesses at the #4 and #5 spots.
  5. Wolfe's a marginal prospect at best. Good deal for the Brewers. I assume Bill Hall will be the utility man for Milwaulkee now. And this guarantees Tony Batista as the starting 3rd baseman for the Twinkies. Even better.
  6. Steve Nash already has 10 assists, and the 1st quarter hasn't even finished yet.
  7. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) Oh, I'm keeping that one. I'm also going to be working for an A ball team in my hometown this summer. Congrats on that one, I think we got a few guys from here who are doing that this summer.
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 02:35 AM) I just lined up a kick ass position for the summer! Not on the Golf Course again I hope.

    Favorite Steak?

Can I just say how much better a good steak up there, is compared to down here? I mean ours are still good don't get me wrong.
  10. Attention Otis Smith. Trade Steve Francis. NOW. Stat line tonight - 10 points, 2 assists, 7 turnovers.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 01:34 PM) Just out of curiosity, is there a younger team in basketball, at least in terms of their starting 5, than the Bulls? I still sit here, look at this team, and think the best years are ahead of almost everyone on their roster, and if they hold together, and add in a few more draft picks like what we picked up from the Knicks, this team could turn into a real force in a couple of years. Maybe the Atlanta Hawks, they're pretty young besides Harrington in the starting lineup. And speaking of Channing Frye, he's havin a very nice game tonight. 30 points and 7 boards. Looks like Larry Brown may have actually settled on a rotation, and even Starbury had a good game tonight.
  12. Put me down as a Heineken fan, although ever since they've started selling Corona's down here, haven't really moved away from that. Although Jim you'll be pleased to know, I did have a Leffe Beer at a Bar down in Melbourne 2 days before XMas. I was honestly shocked they had it on tap quite frankly. But uh yes, back to the all important issue of Lohan's bulimia.
  13. I bet he could have still thrown for over 200 YDS looking like that.
  14. I think's it's a good hire for the Vikings. Childress basically could have had the Green Bay job if he wanted, they were very high on him. But the Vikings brass just must have done an excellent job selling Minny to him. Should be interesting to see how this affects Daunte Culpepper, with that big bonus coming up and everything. He's likely to stick around though. I think Sean Payton is going to end up with the Packers now. He's pretty well regarded around the league (could have had the Raiders job 2 years ago if he watned), and they want a young bright offensive coach who knows the West Coast system a bit. Payton fits that mold perfectly.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 12:16 PM) Or 121 tackles, good for 14th. Heads, you always put a positive spin on anythin regardin the Bears dontcha.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) you almost had me there for a minute. "duke is duke...theyre on tv more than leave it to beava ree runsss..." http://virginiasports.collegesports.com/sp...len_pete00.html I honestly have no idea who the hell that is, me being Aussie and all.
  17. At least they won't be rushing Nick Markakis to the majors in 2006. And if the minor leaguer ain't a really good prospect, well it's really not that bad of a deal for the O's. But of course Patterson has to turn into Corey instead of K-orey again.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 07:12 AM) I'm a big Snow fan. I've always really liked that guy. Myself included. He's basically been a version of Doug Mientikiewicz, but the one whi can actually hit over .300, while providing quality defense at 1st. Doesn't force the Red Sox to play Youklis at 1B everyday or move Lowell across either. Right now, unless the Red Sox can trade Manny, looks like Marte may have to start 2006 in AAA again.
  19. Just imagine if they had actually kept Scott Kazmir.
  20. If this goes down, it shows why Pat Gillick was so in demand by a lot of owners this off-season.
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2283046 Tuna gets a 2 year extension with the Boyz. Good to see, he'll finish what he started building down at Valley Ranch. Sean Payton could go to Green Bay and Mike Zimmer to St. Louis though, forcing Bill to hire new co-ordinators.
  22. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) What I am saying is that Tom Brady meant more to his team. Alexander was great however Tom Brady is the only reason the Patriots have a shot in the playoffs. He broke 4,000. Where would the patriots be without Tom Brady? They have no run game because Cory Dillon was hurt a lot of the time and the defense was bad. It has started to get better but Brady pretty much carried that team. Call me crazy but I still think the Seahawks could've won without Alexander. The Patriots wouldn't be in the playoffs if they didn't have Tom Brady. Would Seattle still be the #1 seed in the NFC if they didn't have Alexander? You can argue that they would have still made the playoffs, but that most likely would have been as the 5 or 6 seeds. Don't forget when the Pats went on that 4 game winning game streak towards the end of the seasons, the defense only gave up just under 8 points per game over the 4 games. The defense playing the way they did was a huge factor to them getting to the playoffs at the end of the season.
  23. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 06:51 PM) Would Carr be worth an early 1st round pick to someone? The Jets could use a good young QB; as could Detroit, New Orleans, Cleveland, Oakland, Arizona... etc. Just think you're in Charlie Casserly's shoes right now. You've got 3 options, take Reggie Bush who's a one of a kind talent in there at RB, Vince Young at QB and the fans are really going to be putting the pressure on to do this since he's a local boy and after what he's done, or trade down and take Brickshaw. The smart money says #3, although most people think they'll do #1. After tonight, I wouldn't rule out #2 at all, if they can get a 1st round pick for Carr, which they should be able to. A team like the Miami Dolphins would be perfect for Carr.
  24. You're all a bunch of . I'd actually give the Bears a chance against the Colts though. If you can stop Edgerrin James, at least it puts a bit more pressure on Peyton Manning to make plays, and you don't have to keep putting 8 men in the box all the time, not to mention the patented play - action isn't as effective. And since the Bears are probably the best run - stuffing team in football, at least they've got something to work with. But of course, they have to get things working offensively. At least with Rex in at QB, there's a better chance now than what there was with Kyle Orton in.
  25. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) The writing was on the wall for a while with this one. Management aint happy about such a slow start after they started last year 17-3 or whatever with basically the same team. But Radmanovic is not happy with his contract, he thinks their offer was too low, he's gonna be a free agent and he thinks they're tryin to sabotage his value. I really wanna like Ridnour but they miss Antonio Daniels bad. Ridnour makes a lot of bad passes and he can't really shoot that well. Lewis is the real key, when he's on they can be a force. Petro was starting and playing a decent amount early on, but he is just so young he was making mistakes and especially getting in foul trouble. But he's really talented so maybe once they're totally out of it he'll play. As far as defensive frontcourts, I like Evans and Fortson; they can defend and rebound but Fortson also gets in wicked foul trouble all the time. Overall though, giving up 105 ppg no that won't get you very far. Seattle picked up a win, but I don't like Hill not giving any minutes at all to Reggie Evans today. He's been their best big man for the whole season, and a C/PF combo of Petro and Radmanovic ain't gonna get it done. They've just got to bite the bullet, and give quality minutes to Swift and Petro though. They're not going to be able to trade for a good big, so they might as well develop what they have. Petro is raw as hell, but he's got some excellent tools defensively, and well Swift is liked by a few teams around the league (especially Danny Ainge in Boston). Good to see Ridnour back at the PG position for Damien Wilkens though. I don't know where Weiss got the logic for that move from.
