This. Sox really need to do a better job building a rotation in Charlotte. Just a pitiful job this year. Absolutely insane Hahn kept claiming and retaining just awful relievers on the 40 man and never brought in SP. Just terrible.

I actually don't hate the trade TA idea. It just depends on what the offers look like. TA should have a good bit of value, he's not a good SS, and I am speculating here, but the whole ASG announcement thing and clear lack of leadership in clubhouse this season makes me think he may not be favorite in the clubhouse. If you can get a nice return for him, I'd be open to it...he only has 2 years of control. That being said, my price to move TA would be very high, I am not just moving him to the highest bidder. You also need to find a SS now in that scenarioideally one that can field their position. We all know the Sox won't be in the running for the high end FAs. Also, your avoid all NL players take continues to be just an awful one.

Trading the rest (Lynn, Giolito, Moncada, Eloy, Hendriks, Bummer, Graveman, Lopez) are going to make the 2023 team much worse, while not measurably impacting the future. It doesn't make any sense.

He was awful. No argument there. He also has a career OPS, including this season, of .762. It’s unlikely he forgot how to hit at age 27. He’s also an elite defender. Not a perfect player and definitely not what we hoped he would be, but he’s still very useful and has the ability to bounce back to his career norms making himself a well above average player.

You’re not getting a lot for him. Sox are far better off betting on Lucas - who has already bet on himself - than trading him. I for the life of me cannot wrap my head the trade Lucas crowd. It makes less than no sense.

There is a 0% chance the Sox strip this down and rebuild. It’s not worth discussing.
