Carlos Perez being promoted from Charlotte, Yaz to go on IL (out 10-14 days)
Not I. But props are due. Dudes getting it done.

Who gives a fuck what Eloy wants. The time to stop caring about his feelings have long since passed. Plus Pollock is on this roster next year so we have insurance in the OF regardless.

Yeah, see in a sample size guy. I’ll take the larger sample size of .760 OPS versus the smaller sample size of him looking terrible. This season doesn’t mean jack shit once next season starts. I get why people are down on him, but even if want to assume he’s a .650 OPS bat moving forward he’s still an above average player. If he starts hitting again, suddenly you have a 3+ WAR player again.

Kind of hard to not play Seby right now.

I don’t think 2022 Yoan is guaranteed to be the Yoan moving forward. He’s got a career .760 OPS. He’s an amazing defender. He’s in his prime. He has all the talent in the world. He’ll be fine.

Yes. And should be priority #1

Fine w me. Should be a heck of a bargain

He’s an awful LF. We badly need to improve defensively next season. Getting Eloy out of the field permanently and AV to 1B or traded is an enormous step in that direction.

His career OPS is .760. Yoan will be fine. Brutal season, but he’ll be fine.

I don’t think Robert is moving from CF anytime soon. Nimmo and Colas in the corners by June next season is a good plan by me.

Nah. Eloy needs to DH 80%+ of the time
-

He’ll never be unplayable because he’s an elite 3B of a team full of DHs. Positional versatility is irrelevant for Yoan.

I don’t mind this scenario depending on AV return. But max you can give Jose is 2/$30M.

Fair. Pollock deserves some bench time too lately, he’s been brutal

And go with the AV-Robert-Sheets OF?
-
8/24- Sox at Orioles, 6:05
He’s not even close to DFA worthy. Disappointing AF, yes, but he’s still a very useful player. The bat will bounce back next season and the defense is elite.

Nah, but even close

Menechino is movable
Yeah. I mean, JR didn't get as wealthy as he is being a dumbass or a horseshit businessman. There is no way he's pleased with how this season has gone. His multiple championship window is all but out the window. His young, exciting and vibrant team is now boring and lifeless. He's exceptionally likely to miss out on 2022 playoff revenues with the highest payroll in club history. Attendance is down, and they're certain to lose season ticket holders this offseason. Pretty much everything White Sox related is worse than it was when TLR took over. There is no possible way he's happy about that. Even if he doesn't care about winning, I am sure he cares about the finances, and those things have a ton of synergies.

Ok ok, 6 rip now. Terminology now accepted.

Eloy is dead. Again.
I would agree on the lucky part. That had to hurt so fuckin' bad.

I just.....can't wrap my head around how this org can go into 2023 with LaRussa in the dugout. I am still in the "believe it when I see it camp" for sure, but holy fuck, there is no way they're THAT incompetent.

TBF, that hard to hurt really bad. 102 MPH off the elbow with just a thin piece of plastic in between? That's one I understand.

Its 3-0. Wouldn't exactly call that a pounding.

I have low hopes for a W. My optimism is gone. This season is toast. I am sad.

If he was a washed up Vet, he'd have 2 starts by now.
