Its just so frustrating that what plagues this team was so obvious and they did nothing to address it. Everybody who pays attention knew it. Hahn knew it, and said as much. Yet did nothing to address it. Just mind boggling. That being said, if we went into the season knowing Pollock, Grandal, Abreu would have wRC+ of 25, 49, and 77 respectively 35 games into the season, and that Eloy would get seriously hurt 10 games in and Moncada would miss the first 30 games, Gio two IL stints by mid May and zero starts from Lynn, we'd all probably take a 16-17 start and just 3 GB. Sox have played bad enough to be absolutely buried at this point, but they aren't.

Under no circumstance should Leury bat in the top two thirds of the lineup. Ever. TA, Moncada, Vaughn, Robert, Abreu, Grandal, Pollock, Sheets DH, Leury is how I would line them up.

Which makes this a bit of an expensive gamble based on all the circumstances. Not my $, but paying cueto $3.5M for a few starts doesn't seem like the wisest decision. Have a hard time seeing him stick in this rotation for more than that.

In which case one start and one game on the MLB roster costs about $26k.

Well, TBF, things have gone just about as poorly as possible to this point and Sox are just 3 GB. So they probably in fact will be fine.

Not crucifying the take, but you simply cannot trade Eloy right now. We’re talking literal pennies on the dollar.

He wasn’t awful in a much larger sample on 2021 tho. AV is also not a risk to 3 of our best assets.

How long til they try it? Leury has been a bit more useful lately.

He needs to get back to hitting line drives, using the opposite field and putting the ball in the air. Has felt like he's just a chopper 2 hopper to the left side of the infield waiting to happen since his return last season.

I mean....we had a 6 run lead. Going to Banks wasn't the issue. Moncada not fielding a routine ground ball was. As was Liam's inability to put away 2 separate hitters to end hte game. Note - I am in no way defending TLR's management style or moves. Dude sucks in everyway.

A win tonight and we could be as little as 1 GB of the Twins. I expect them to get swept today.
