Vaughn has a hip pointer injury, out 1-2 weeks
Great news. Best case scenario.

Michael Conforto: His POV and the Wait
I don't know what the current asking price is. Perhaps still 5/$100M+. But can Conforto really reject 4/$75M right now? Obviously not. He'd be crazy to at this point. 4/$75M is most definitely not too much for Conforto.

Welp. Ok, I guess I will take Conforto instead. ?

Lol. Amazing stuff. I mean, he's gonna have to play some RF is they seriously aren't going to sign anyone and Vaughn is IL bound. But now our DH is.....Burger? Ugh. FFS, at least pick up DFA limbo Beatty from LAD at the very least.

Andrew Vaughn hurts hip pointer, out 1-2 weeks per White Sox
Really hoping he's fine. But if this wasn't enough to prove this little RF experiment isn't going to age well, I don't know what it is. I like Vaughn a ton. I'd rather see him play LF than RF. He was a plenty capable in LF. I don't mind playing him in RF here and there and keeping it in his "tool bag" - but expecting an Eloy/Robert/Vaughn OF to stay healthy is pure insanity.

Andrew Vaughn hurts hip pointer, out 1-2 weeks per White Sox
Unlikely. He's going to be on MLB IL, and then an milb rehab assignment. And no point will the Sox option him while he's hurt. I'd say if anything this removes any chance of service time gaming (assuming he's at least going to hit the IL for some amount of time). Sox were never going to do that anyway.

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Yeah. I mean I figured it’s possible it’s just a ST precaution. Definitely possible. Hope Vaughn is ok. But this is what happens…..I don’t mind playing Vaughn in RF some and it’s just a bad break if he’s actually legit injured. But fuckina Sox. How was this going to be sustainable for 162?!

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Like I said in another thread, I’m just hoping we hear weeks not months. Anytime a cart is involved I’m assuming it’s not a day to day thing.

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Certainly an upgrade on Vaughn/Sheets. Probably not much worse than Leury. I hate that it took AV getting hurt, but I don’t see how Sox can’t possibly not make a move at this point. They’re getting close to not being able to field an OF. Is Engel even going to be ready? Sheets has yet to play the field this ST! What happens when Eloy runs in the wall now? It’s basically required at this point.

Is it Ok to sign Conforto now? There’s still time to right this wrong. The injury situation appears to have arisen before the needed to be tested. Leury now our RF. Hopefully we’re talking weeks not months with AV.

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
I do not think the Twins would allow Jake Burger to be a centerpiece of a Manea deal. They need him (and more) much more than the Sox and have more bullets to use. I still don’t see the Kimbrel / Bellinger deal happening. I’d be fine with it for sure but still seems so pipe dreamy. Id prefer not to give them Engel as CWS proposed, but wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. He’ll be on the IL by mid May anyway. I’d rather just hand LAD Kimbrel and sign Conforto. Neither seem very likely at this juncture tho. I still want it, but I’ve lost the desire to argue for it. I have no issues trading Burger, but as things currently stand he’s more than just a reserve 3B. Doesn’t take much in the way of injuries for him to find himself as the near daily DH either.

Well this certainly wouldn’t solve the tied up $ problem.

I think Leury will get plenty of ABs, but I’d def take this bet.

Jake Burger is actually pretty interesting
Too bad he can’t play RF and doesn’t bat left handed.

Offseason Part 3 - Because Part 2 Was a Dud
Glad to see my guy Conforto is back in the Soxtalk possibly pile. I want the guy so bad, but honestly the crow some people here would have to eat would make it even more sweet. Even tho they’ll suddenly say there were for it the whole time!

Arb cases happening today
Yeah. Chances are very high Lucas ends up behind rejecting this deal. Sox team options on back for core players tend to be pretty generous as well. I get not wanting to give away 2 FA years but that was a solid offer. Sounds like the non biased writer agrees.

Stiever to 60 day IL; Sox Claim LHP Yoan Aybar
It doesn’t confirm anything. There is close to 0% chance this guy survives a month on the 40 man. They’ll just try to sneak him thru.

Some info on Aybar. Converted OF with ugly numbers on the mound. Must have a big arm. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/yankees-claim-yoan-aybar-from-rockies.html

Wasn't even aware Stiever was hurt. Must've happened in ST unless I missed it.

How to Contact the White Sox Execs/Sponsors and Demand TLR’s Termination
He's probably not getting $100M at this point. If he was, he'd be signed. Historically, he's definitely a $20M AAV player though and that is factoring in his 21. He was more like a $25M+ AAV player prior to 21. I think he'll take a 4/$80M deal give or take $5M with opt outs. Seems to be his best option at this point.

Literally could not care less about how many Ks Carlos has in a ST game against us.
