Nah. They should just play him at the big league level tbh. It would be nice for Oscar to earn it first in AAA, but let’s face it, he’s not returning much. I still feel his opportunity will come this season, but it’s obvious he’s made very few fans in the org. Sox trade a 25 year old Colas for a minimal return with the ability to option him for 1.75 more seasons and he probably turns into a 2 WAR OF. Just let him play RF, especially with Eloy hurt again.

There is a high likelihood that Julks is JAG, but for all the outrage this move received here, he at least looks like a mildly interesting short side platoon option with a boatload of cheap control. Obvious SSS etc, but you can’t deny he has put a jolt into the lineup in a few facets. And with Eloy now hurt again, hopefully he gets a few more looks.

I thought it was teams had 7 days (previously was 10 under previous CBA) to either trade a DFAd player before placing on waivers, and if no deal is found you then have to place player on waivers and if player is claimed your options are 1) work a trade; 2) allow the claiming team to have player or; 3) pull back and put back on your 40 man.

Either that, or the Sox claimed him and this is what they agreed upon in exchange.

Julks is actually somewhat interesting. Has big time power, has speed and is a decent OF. Still has two options left. Don't love giving up a lottery ticket for him, but happy to give him some reps down the line.

Good riddance on Ortega. Guy never should have been here and was terrible. Was appalling watching Pedro attempt to use him as a defensive CF when he was brutal out there.
