  1. Still think my group of players I am willing to move is Stiever, Collins, Rutherford, and other lower level prospects. Really not at all interested in trading Madrigal, Vaughn, Kopech, Dunning, etc. If someone like Reynaldo, I’d be fine moving on at this point as well. I realize that very may not get us Lance Lynn and certainly no one better. That’s fine. This is just the beginning and all of those guys are pieces of this puzzle moving forward. Just don’t feel like right now is right time short of acquiring a big time cost controlled asset. Id be more than fine with something like Ray and Phelps.
  2. I’d rather give up nothing for Robby Ray than mortgage the future for Lynn or Marco fuckin’ Gonzalez.
  3. Seriously? Kopech and Madrigal and more for Gonzales and a negative value contract? Grosssss
  4. Huh? I’m saying Grandal should be in the lineup more, not less.
  5. Feels like forever ago. So much fun. Can’t believe people actually thought and some still wish MLB just cancelled the season. This is so good for our boys. Will pay major benefits in 21-26 window. This is what all that losing baseball was for, and this is just the very beginning. Feels good.
  6. Yeah, I don’t pay any attention. Lol. Playing Grandal 4-games 5 a week is super dumb. He needs to be the 1B or DH most days he isn’t catching.
  7. Grandal just plays 1B instead of DH (shift Abreu to DH) when McCann catches and its not a problem. But Ricky seems intent on Grandal only playing 4-5 games a week, which is super fuc*ing dumb, but its Renteria so not surprising.
  8. That's good then, I guess. Dyson is an elite defender and speedster, so I guess he's not terrible to have around to replace Eloy in LF in 9th innings if Engel is playing RF. Also as a pinch runner in extras.
  9. Probably a better use of a roster spot than Luis Gonzalez. But hopefully we didn't just trade away dollars we could use for Colas/Cespedes.
  10. What is the status of the current bonus pool money? Is this a situation of the Sox trading away dollars they effectively couldn't use, or is this them trading away dollars that could be used for Colas and/or Cespedes?
  11. Was wondering the same thing. No video after Tuesday’s win.
  12. Realisitcally, the Sox need to sign a SP this offseason. Giolito, Keuchel, Cease, FA, Lopez with Kopech replacing Lopez in June. Then you also have Dunning and Stiever. I think Sox can definitely afford to trade Stiever if it nets them someone like Nimmo/
  13. There actually are limitations on trading a player not on the 60 man. You can't. But you can get around it as a PTBNL. That is true.
  14. Disagree. Washington got 5 years of cost controlled Eaton coming off 2 healthy seasons in which he accumulated 9.8 fWAR. Nimmo has 2 years and 1 month of control via arbitration and has surpassed 255 PA exactly 1 time in a season. He's a very good ball player, but he won't and shouldn't return anything close to what Eaton return.
  15. Lol. Because he's the perfect fit. Above average defense. Elite OBP. Hits from the left side. Literally checks every single box. Which is why I started the bandwagon on this over a year ago.
  16. Meh, more of a mid rotation guy for me. He’s good and obviously has been pitching well, but by no means is Lance Lynn an ace. Not that our definitions of what he is really matter. i still have a thing for Micker and would prefer to give him a chance before we cut that cord. But yeah - Lopez, Collins and some other decent piece could work but someone like ATL could easily beat it if they wanted to.
  17. It’s legit idiotic. Lance Lynn has been good in Texas but was literally terrible in MN just 2 seasons ago. His contract is nice, but I’m with Parkman. Most id give up is something like Reynaldo, Rutherford and Collins.
  18. Phil Rogers (worhjtless opinion) says Cease, Jared Kelley, Adolfo and Collins for Lynn. Almost as bad as fast food Joshs take of Cease, Steiver and Thompson.
  19. I'm not holding anything against him. I am Zack Collins fan, and I agree with everything you said. The kid has no chance to get a groove getting 3-4 at bats a week, and Renteria not playing him regularly last season was asinine. I mean Wellington fuc*in' Castillo was getting late season at bats over him. I am not advoating for trading him because of his 2020 performance. All that said, with Grandal in the picture, and a bevy of 1B/DH options in the org that are better hitters, he just doesn't really have a spot on this team moving forward. If you can use him to get a guy that could put the Sox over the edge this season, and perhaps contribute next year, you don't balk at moving him. I think Collins skill set could turn him into a poor man's Mike Napoli type moving forward, and that has a ton of use. Especially as a lefty who can at least catch occasionally. But with one of the best catchers in the game on our roster for the next 3.25 seasons, he's likely not going to get much playing time here.
  20. I like Ray as an option first and foremost because I think he's a talented pitcher, but also he's struggled so much in this SSS 2020 that the Dbacks would likely give him away for nothing more than salary relief, and you get a month to get to know him and work with him. If the sox don't get Ray in the next week, I'd love bringing him in this offseason on a cheap one year deal with an option or two. If he does get traded, he may be stuck in someone's bullpen and it could really destroy his FA market even moreso than his 2020 performance. He's a talented guy.
