  1. He has been for the last 40 starts. I don’t think he will be for his next 35. LL is a rock solid #3 type. He’s good. He’s not a TOR pitcher. We can agree to disagree if you’d like.
  2. I know LL has been really good in Texas, and yes he would improve the Twins. But he doesn’t exactly strike fear in me, and the Twins are going to be our closest competition in this 5-7 season window. If they hurt their future by giving up Lewis or Kiriloff for 35 Lance Lynn starts, I think the Sox are better off long term. Both of these teams are making the playoffs this season and frankly there is really no difference in what seed you have other than bragging rights.
  3. We get it, dude. You want to win the World Series and don’t really care what it takes to make that happen. You’ve made it clear.
  4. Hopefully they ship off Lewis for 13 months of Lynn who was terrible in a Twins uni in 2018.
  5. Ohh yeah, I forgot the Dbacks gave Calhoun a 2 year deal. Blehhh...don’t really want him around next year, TBH. I agree on Ray. I like him a lot, said as much many times here. I think he’s a great target now, and this offseason as well. But Dbacks can’t expect to get much from him as he’s controlled for a month, he’s been walking the world and has an era approaching 8. Definitely aren’t getting a Stiever type prospect for him, IMO.
  6. I think Arizona would literally give us Robby Ray and Kole Calhoun. They’re both impending FA. Ray has been awful this year, and Calhoun is the meh player he’s always been. I think a Collins and Gonzalez type return would be more than enough for those two. And frankly - id prefer that to trading any of Vaughn/Kopech/Madrigal/Dunning unless we’re getting a long term asset like Woodruff.
  7. It’s the trade deadline, dude. What else are we supposed to talk about? It’ll be over in 8 hours.
  8. Not necessarily. A trade could be agreed to in principle but they’re still working out final details, going over medicals, getting league approval, etc. it’s not that far fetched. I don’t think NSC knows everything going on with the Sox, but it’s pretty obvious he knows someone who feeds him at least some info.
  9. Woah, no chance I am giving up Stiever for Ray and Calhoun. Seems like a super steep package for those two. I agree with the premise tho.
  10. Why do you feel Kopech is part of it? Even if he is, it’s going to be as PTBNL and that speculation and wait for confirmation will be brutal.
  11. Meh. Not really. Probably would really only know about him if you played a lot of fantasy baseball or were a Mariners fan.
  12. I would be very supportive of this, though selfishly would love to keep Adolfo.
  13. String together? Dude is more than likely going to be controlled through 2026.
  14. But some people think we should trade Madrigal because Mendick is the 2B of the future. 😂😂 I like Mendick - he’s a useful guy to have around. But that take is so bad.
  15. 40 is the baseline too. Wouldn’t shock me in the least to see Eloy hot 60 bombs in a full healthy season down the road.
  16. I don’t want to trade Dunning. But I would trade Dunning so fast in a deal for Clevinger. Not a soul in Soxland should have a problem with that. Kopech is one that is painful, and would require more thought. But I think you definitely have to do it for Clevinger.
  17. I mean they got 2 solid prospects from a super deep Padres org for Mitch Moreland. That’s a pretty big win.
  18. Maybe they bring back Rodon to piggy back Reynaldo. Sounds like he’s getting closer.
  19. Disagree. Mendick has been good but he’s more likely to be out of the league in three years than he is the White Sox starting 2B.
