TLR would be the perfect fit here, if they weren’t so earnest in their wild belief that he was the answer to what they needed. It had everything you needed for a fish out of water comedy show. Except it was real and they were serious. And we are all now traumatised by the experience.

I’m not expecting an overhaul, but something has to give between Eloy, AV, & Abreu. They need a real RF and a legit LH power bat not named Gavin Sheets. A 5th starter reclamation project to replace Cueto I think would be likely. 2B feels like the inevitable return of Harrison who will suck ass for 75% of the season again. Another uninspired winter with some window dressing and a new manager at the helm.

This The players underperformed no doubt. The manager and coaching sucked. The GM signing Leury to a 3 year deal and failing to address RF or add impactful LH power failed too. The decision makers failed. But the players aren’t signing or trading themselves or putting out a stupid shitty lineup every day. There needs to be accountability on the field, in the dugout & clubhouse, and for those putting the team together. There is enough blame to go around for everyone.
