If Moncada didn't have all of his offensive talent stolen by Covid, we might not even be pining for Machado right now either. Harper and Rodon though could have carried this team to the top of the AL Central and have them fighting for a spot in the ALCS. The stupid and shortsighted White Sox Way haunts them yet again.
-
Don’t know, don’t care. As long as he keeps mashing Cleveland ?.
-
For once it would nice if the White Sox hired someone that doesn't put them at an in-game tactical disadvantage. 10 years of managerial incompetence is enough already.
-
I sure hope Rick Hahn's seat at the table keeps him warm while at home watching the stars he couldn't sign lead their teams to post season success.

Guardians were less than hours away from trading Jose Ramirez

We should be thankful that their ownership is trash honestly. If Cleveland had the same payroll recourses as the Sox they would own the central every year. -
Swag w/o results is just hubris. This org has that in spades.

Fucking Houston…

It will take a few things to get me to even go 10-gamer again. Namely who they hire as manager and what moves they make. This season the White Sox org really turned me off and made me more of a general baseball fan. I might go to a few games if they are decent but it’s unlikely I give them a large chunk of money up front again after the TLR disaster.

From Espada's Wikipedia page: Coaching career[edit] After retiring, Espada became a coach in the Marlins' organization. He served as the hitting coach of the Greensboro Grasshoppers of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2006 and for the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League in 2007. Espada spent the next two seasons as the Marlins' minor league infield coordinator.[3] The Marlins named Espada as their third base coach prior to the 2010 season. He also coached for the Puerto Rican national baseball team during the 2013 World Baseball Classic. Espada served as the Marlins' third base coach through the 2013 season. After the season, he was reassigned to manage Jupiter, as the Marlins wanted Espada to gain managerial experience.[3] Instead, Espada took a job with the New York Yankees as a special assistant to General Manager Brian Cashman.[1] On January 11, 2015, the Yankees hired Espada to be the team's new infield coach and third base coach.[7] He manages the Gigantes de Carolinaof the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente in winter baseball.[8] Espada again coached the Puerto Rican team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.[9] The Houston Astros hired Espada after the 2017 season to become their bench coach.[10] He interviewed for the Texas Rangers' managerial position after the 2018 season[11] and for the Chicago Cubs' managerial position after the 2019 season.[12]"

Yankees 3B coach. Houston hired him after the 2017 season.

Dude retweeted the Bartolo tweet about trading Gio. Color me skeptical.

An ex that dumped you for someone else, immediately got dumped, then came crawling back begging for a 2nd chance. And you’re just damaged and dysfunctional to consider it.
-
This is what I’m afraid of. Who know who JR foists upon us this time.
-
Yeah, thankfully this dude doesn't actually know anything. They better get a haul for that, and their ability to find pitching elsewhere is pretty laughable.

DJ doesn't bother me on the radio, but I don't think I would want him on the TV call. Beckham though is simply awful, and has miles to go before he could even be considered decent. He belongs nowhere near a broadcast booth. -
-
I believe they can agree but just can’t announce it until after the World Series ends. I could be wrong though.

Jason is one of the best around and I don’t give a s%*# that he never played. The gimmicks on the Sox broadcasts have grown stale and I wish they would change it up, but I don’t put that on Jason. He’s fantastic on national games too and if the Sox gave us consistent quality play I have no doubt the quality of the broadcast would jump equally. -

A team interested in salvaging their season. I wonder what that’s like.

He absolutely has to fix the ums and uhs. And learn to be more concise and not ramble on. He is just awful to listen to, and has a long long way to go reach below average. -
I just hope the new manager plays the better of the two the most and doesn’t simply pencil Yaz in as the starter because of his contract.
-
I’d be happy. I would call it a successful off-season all things considered. Edit - I’d prefer if Seby were the starter and Yaz the backup, but it’s a minor quibble.

What was the deal with Shildt? Seemed semi successful in StL but I forget the circumstances surrounding his firing.
