Not sure which is the bigger head scratcher, the trade for Shields or the horrible 4 game stretch Shields is having. And I thought Javy Vazquez was perplexing.

Ranaudo looking damn good again. 8IP 5H 0R 2BB 2K 98 pitches with 68 strikes. Ranaudo is pounding the strike zone since joining the Sox.

As usual, great work by FS getting prospect info out there for us fans. Lots of names worthy of keeping an eye on.

Since the Sox are offensively challenged, I'd go with either Trout or Harper for that one addition to the team. However, adding a pitcher like Kershaw would not be wrong...

Kudos to Dave for calling this. I thought it was BS when the rumor surfaced but I was wrong. Though I didn't want to trade for Shields I'm not happy or angry about this trade, just going to wait and see how Shields pitches. Sucks losing a young SS prospect in Tatis but I won't miss the 4A pitcher EJ.
