  1. How long is he out for? The Sox have zero luck when it comes to lefty hitters. Their line up vs. righties will have 6 or 7 right handed hitters in it. Sliders ahoy!
  2. Looks like Jankowski, Michael A. Taylor, Tauchman will all be in the outfield. Amaya still has a good shot to make the team, and it’s not like Vargas or Sosa has really done anything in mlb. They are going to struggle to not be last in runs scored again.
  3. Jankowski is a lefty. As much as it hurts to say this, I think the OD left fielder for a major league team is going to be what’s left of Michael A. Taylor. On paper, this team looks like it will lose 160 games.
  4. Not shocked by any of those guys. 12 NRI’s still in camp. 40 man roster crunch gonna be fascinating. Looks like they break camp with even more AAAA types than last year. Rotation looks okay. Line up and bullpen seem problematic. SS seems down to Meidroth/Amaya/Tristan Gray
  5. Wow. Your predictions read like my eventual suicide note.
  6. It is if you PA announcer is Jerry Lewis.
  7. Yeah, the college position player group seems to be 20 guys that you would be fine taking anywhere between 15-45 and nobody who really fits in the Top 5. I think a lot of teams will be shopping for deals in that group then scooping up HS arms later in the draft. I would be looking at HS bats for 1-10, but you never know.
  8. I’ll play: Sox representative to the All Star game is Davis Martin. Andrew Benintendi will have a Wrc+ above 110, and they will trade him. George Wolkow will be a top 100 prospect by the end of the year. Nick McLain and Sam Antonacci will both be top 10 players in the Sox system by the end of the year. McLain will get a call up after Benintendi is traded.
  9. I disagree. 104 EV right over your head is pretty tough.
  10. Nice to see Antonacci getting a game. He’s a bat control/walk dude but I think he has a chance to be a bit more physical than a guy like Meidroth.
  11. Sox have a pretty packed minor league system in the pitching side. Hard to imagine there’s a roster spot for him.
  12. Good for Burke. He has the best stuff of the 4 guys named. Ultimately it doesn’t matter as everyone is the #1 on the day they go.
  13. Interesting that Bergolla gets the start. Also Wolkow.
  14. Good news for me. I have mlb.tv.
  15. Mostly roster dregs today, but then again, most of their roster is dregs.
  16. Zavala does have above average EVs, when he’s on time. Saucke has above average power, but I question his strike zone judgment to get to it. Both Veras and Gladney have good power, but probably won’t be able to get to it cuz they expand the zone. Mogollon has shown pop, but it comes with a lot of K’s. I agree that the Sox need more guys who can hit it out.
  17. Sure. He might be starting in LF on opening day.
  18. Baldwin over 100 mph EV on the double. For me, Baldwin > Meidroth, but I have always been a fan.
  19. I don’t dislike Fletcher, but I can’t stand watching him “hit.”
  20. I think completion for pitching slots is down to 13 of these 16 guys: Martin, Cannon, Perez, Burke, S.Smith, B. Wilson, Clevinger, Murfee, Booser, Eisert, Ellard, Gilbert, Leasure, Varland, Dunn, S. Wilson. Anybody else have a shot?
  21. Elbow discomfort for Adams. It is exactly what it looked like. More testing tomorrow.
  22. It’s currently blocking Vargas, Drury, and Sosa from playing more 2b. It’s not a huge deal, but when the Sox run out the worst defensive infield in the league, their commitment to Vaughn will be a contributing factor.
  23. What positions can Drury actually play anymore? He has mostly been yet another R/R 1b/DH this spring. Really underlines how offering Vaughn arbitration was an odd choice.
  24. Anderson and Varland have both been released as well. The Sox have some decent prospects, but man, do they have a lot of bad players in camp with a chance to make the team.
