You could sign him to a 2 year deal where he gets very little year 1, and then $8M in year 2. And if I could bet on it, I would bet the Sox come to some sort of agreement like that.
They honestly just need filler, good or bad, especially in the rotation. No one is really that close to being ready where you would pencil them into the rotation day 1.

I’m actually ok with Hedges. This team is going to suck. Let him help the pitching and young catching.

It’s been refreshing seeing starting pitchers goes 5+ consistently in the playoffs this year rather than the plug being pulled around 3-4 innings (if that even).
