  1. Maybe this has been mentioned already, but with guys committing to teams as early as 13, 14 it is possible we don’t see the real bulk of the work put in by the international staff during the Robert penalty until next July. Or maybe I’m just looking for the positive because I like Paddy. Met him a couple times in my scouting days, and he was a really likeable guy. Very humble, aside from wearing his World Series ring every day haha
  2. Any list with Herbert Perry is 100%. And Kelly Wundch.
  3. Who’s going to ground out to second?
  4. let him come in tomorrow as a pinch runner, but don’t let him run.
  5. Players who do everything fairly well have long big league careers.
  6. He was ok. A little wild in the strike zone. He missed his spots a lot, but he’s hard to square up so it didn’t really matter. Reminds me a little of Matt clement.
  7. I’ve mentioned it a couple times, but he looked really good this spring. Potential 7th inning type.
  8. I hope however much money Blaser bet on the Cubs tonight is enough that he can retire and never umpire again.
  9. I came to post exactly this. It was a dump when it was new and it still is. Of all the notable ballparks of that era, it was the worst one.
  10. Haven’t read what others have posted here, but my ideal preference would be to kick Yonder/Castillo to the curb and have Collins rotate between 1b/dh/backup catcher. I’m guessing he will probably struggle. I’m not really that high on him, personally. But might as well see what we have with him rather than waste at bats on washed up duds.
  11. Rick Rick Rick Rick Hahn and his trades...*cue the piano*
  12. Giolito basically walked some guy off the street who runs really fast.
  13. A four pitch leadoff walk to Billy Hamilton should be an automatic fine in kangaroo court.
  14. Yeah, on the one hand I’m optimistic. On the other hand, Paulo Orlando and Ryan Goins are OPSing around .900 too. Not sure what to believe.
  15. one thing worth remembering about Anthopolous is he has historically not shied away from trading pitching prospects to fill a team need. He isn’t shy trading prospects in general, but particularly true with pitchers
  16. This is questionable. Juan Pierre had 20 power, didn’t have an 80 hit tool, and managed to make a nice career. There’s other variables that come into play.
  17. I think yesterday was the initial target for Burger’s return, so hopefully we see him soon. I totally forgot about Puckett until just seeing him mentioned.
  18. I’m curious what prime Thornton’s spin rate was on his 4 seamer.
  19. Ned and Ricky have naked pictures of each other.
