Delmonico is fucking terrible.

May 1 vs O's straight doubleheader 3:10 PM start time
They're better than last year, but that's not really saying much. They need to win games like today's. Period.

May 1 vs O's straight doubleheader 3:10 PM start time
Every time I think this team is taking a step forward, they take 2 or 3 steps backward. So annoying.

I don't trust anyone in this bullpen other than Herrera and Colome.

May 1 vs O's straight doubleheader 3:10 PM start time
Sox are burning through their whole bullpen in the first game. Nova might have to throw 200 pitches tonight.

Fulmer in to protect a 1 run lead. Lmao.

May 1 vs O's straight doubleheader 3:10 PM start time
Both of these teams are absolutely terrible defensively.

Jose Ruiz must have Ricky's nudes because I have no idea how he's stayed in Chicago for this long.

Robert Prospect Ranking
This is just silly. Madrigal doesn't need to hit home runs to be an asset at the MLB level.

Marcus Stroman as a trade & extend target (don't laugh)
The problem is that Stroman/Sanchez don't have all that much team control left. I don't think it would make much sense to trade for either of them unless they agreed to sign an extension. The Sox will almost certainly have to trade for a pitcher at some point, but I'd aim for one who is under control for longer. I thought Luis Castillo of the Reds would have been a good fit if they wanted to make a move this past offseason but that ship has definitely sailed.

MAY 1ST... A NEW START
The Sox were 8-19 on May 1st last year. Seeing a bit of improvement is definitely encouraging.

Do you look at Jose Abreu at "32" the same way you looked at Paul Konerko at 34?
Omar Vizquel, Andruw Jones, and Manny Ramirez were all on that 2010 team for a brief period of time. Those were the days.

Luis Robert, others Promoted
Do you guys really think there's a chance he could be in Chicago this season?

Soxtalk slacking on game threads again. O's vs Sox 7:10 pm
McCann has been so much better than I expected him to be.

Soxtalk slacking on game threads again. O's vs Sox 7:10 pm
Why is Ruiz on this team?

Last thing the Sox should do is move Moncada around again defensively. He is hitting way too well right now.

Argument for Keeping Cease at AAA?
On the topic of Collins, I also think he's best suited for 1B long term. I really believe his bat will be good enough to play at that spot and not catching all that often would save so much wear and tear on his body. I'd personally like to see the Sox sign Grandal this coming offseason. Zavala can be the backup and Collins can be the emergency 3rd catcher and start at that spot maybe once a week to increase his versatility. Abreu can then transition to DH if they decide to keep him around since Collins would play 1B most of the time. Seems like a win/win all the way around.

2019 MLB draft thread
I wish there was a pitcher good enough to justify taking at #3 because honestly I think the Sox need arms a lot more than bats at this point in time.

Why isn't there a game thread yet? Sox vs Tigers, 1:10 PM
Doesn't it seem like Lopez pitches better in the '83 unis?

I love it. Thanks.

I haven't been able to watch the game today. Has Lopez really been as good as his line would indicate?

2019 MLB draft thread
Let's say Rutschman and Vaughn go 1 and 2. Who do you guys think the Sox would take in that scenario?

Eloy Jimenez injury
I know he's young and all, but I want the Sox to start having him make the transition to either first base or DH now. He is way too important to this rebuild to risk him having a severe injury of some kind. Just let him focus on hitting.

'Why isn't there a game thread?" - White Sox vs Tigers, 7:10 PM
I'll just chalk Rodon's performance last night to it just not being his day, as well as the fact that it was the second time he faced the Tigers within a week. He's been pretty good other than yesterday so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
