Alex Reyes fails physical, might need surgery
Apparently Reyes could be out for the year, so St. Louis might jump back into the Q sweepstakes after all.

Alex Reyes fails physical, might need surgery
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 11:26 AM) Apparently Cardinals RHP Alex Reyes didn't pass his physical for ST and will not report to camp yet. Don't know what is wrong with him. If he is out, possible Q to Cardinals? Also, just creating discussion to think of different packages from a different team finally. I think I'd do Weaver, Bader, Kelly, and Perez for Q Would marijuana impact his physical at all? I know he's had problems with that in the past.

Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) Daryl Van Schouwen @CST_soxvan 1m1 minute ago All-Star left-hander Jose Quintana will talk later this morning, but after today will politely decline to discuss trade rumors. #WhiteSox I feel so bad for the poor guy. He doesn't deserve to have swarms of reporters and rumors nagging at him everyday.

Predict Thy Numbers: Michael Kopech
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 10:23 AM) Doing guys who will be in the minors all season? Is Alec Hansen next? If you want to me to, sure. I love Hansen and hope he dominates in 2017.

You're the real MVP for this. I picked up 3 nice Sox t-shirts for $10 each.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 11:01 AM) What else would he say? That's basically the situation him and all the veterans are in lol I didn't think he'd comment on it at all. Some guys don't like to talk about off the field distractions to the media.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 10:52 AM) Succinct https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/831545820851761152 Damn. That quote is pretty telling and I'd be shocked if Robertson was a part of their long term plans.

Predict Thy Numbers: Michael Kopech
I'm so excited for this guy. My predictions - 8-4, 2.61 ERA, 178 K's, 1.18 WHIP, 13.7 K/9, in 18 starts (3 with Winston Salem, 11 with Birmingham, 4 with Charlotte) Innings will probably be monitored for him, so he might not go very deep into his starts, but I expect him to post ridiculous K numbers in 2017.

2016-17 free agency thread (NON WHITE SOX RELATED)
Eddie Gamboa DFAed. Huge news.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
Why the f*** can't the Sox take Bastardo if that's the deal-breaker right now?
-
Baseball Prospectus ranks
It's so nice to have a surplus of arms that could potentially be ace-like quality.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
Juan Soto is a guy I really want. He's pretty much my age so that means that he should be debuting right around when the Sox are good again. Sign me up.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 11:08 AM) If we ate some money on his deal and they were willing to throw in 2-3 B type prospects, I'd probably do it. The couple mill a year to Robertson won't kill us. But at this point, I think he stays til the deadline (assuming he's not hurt). Who would these prospects be? How much money would the Sox have to eat?
-
Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
Which Nationals prospect is even worth eating a lot of money for? Robles is the only one I can think of and he probably isn't available. If the Nationals aren't willing to offer anything decent for him, then the Sox should just hold him and wait it out. I think he has a good chance of being a quality closer in 2017 which would increase his value at the deadline.

Red Sox acquire Chris Sale, White Sox get Moncada+
It depends on what else was offered along with Benintendi, but I think the Sox made the right choice. Moncada's upside is much higher than Benintendi.

White Sox News FA / Rumors / News
We need Charles The Cat to come through with a rumor right about now.

Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
Given their circumstances, Houston should trade Bregman for Q 100% of the time and never look back.
-
Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
Jeff Todd is insane. He said in the MLB Trade Rumors chat that the Sox would offer Q for Bregman straight up and Houston would say no. Lol ok.
-
Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
Colombia's roster doesn't look too good at first glance so hopefully they're eliminated quickly.
-
Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week
It would be so White Sox if they agreed to a trade with Houston that was to be completed after the WBC only to have Q blow out his elbow in the tournament.

2016-2017 NFL Thread
QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 9, 2017 -> 06:53 PM) Was there really TWO people here who think Joe Flacco is a hall of farmer????!!! The Joe Flacco who has a career completion percentage and passer rating lower than Jay Cutler? I never said he was a Hall of Farmer. I'd have to see him work with cattle and a tractor before I could make that assertion.

Robertson to WASH was close, now at stalemate
I think Philadelphia will be better than the Sox too.

RUMOR: Nothing to see here
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 9, 2017 -> 01:12 PM) Maybe the tweet meant to say "Sox trying work out a deal with the Twins for Park." Like a Park for cash considerations or PTBNL" type of deal. Teams do that when a player is in DFA status and can reject an assignment to the minors knowing that another team can claim or sign him (after he's released). Park for James Shields. Get it done Rick!

RUMOR: Nothing to see here
QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Feb 9, 2017 -> 01:09 PM) Dustin Morse @morsecode 31s Byung Ho Park has cleared waivers and assigned outright to Triple-A Rochester. He will be in major league camp this spring. #MNTwins lol so much for that.

RUMOR: Nothing to see here
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 9, 2017 -> 01:06 PM) If they claim him, they get the contract. So it's an all or nothing type thing? Park wasn't any good last year but I'd still take a chance on him. He's not extremely old and he isn't paid much.
