WGN-TV will become a total independent TV station. Therefore, White Sox games will no longer get moved to Channel 50 due to CW network programs airing weeknights on Channel 9 which are usually not allowed to be pre-empted. 'WGN Sports on my50' will no longer exist after the 2016 season. The article does not say where 'my network TV' (which currently airs on Channel 50) is going to air. Also, this change is unrelated to the demise of all Chicago sports and news at the start of 2015 on national cable network 'WGN America'. .

The Hawk made a comment during the Twins home opener on Monday. It was early in the game when Avisail went up to bat. Hawk said that he watched Avi's homerun on Saturday from his home (at Granger, Indiana) using his iPad. He said he used his iPad because "Nobody carries WGN in South Bend, Unbelievable." Apparently Ken is still not aware that WGN games are aired on free, over-the-air HD television in South Bend. The Sox' new $8 Million scoreboard was only 1 day old, and it has already been damaged. Apparently the drone that chashed before the game on Saturday was operated by Trevor Bauer of the Indians. From the photo at the letsgotribe website, I think I see the damage at the lower left part of the scoreboard where the drone made contact. Are the Sox going to make Bauer pay for the repairs? .
