  1. I feel bad for Len. He came over here thinking he had a good chance at calling a WS game on radio...guess he should've stuck with the Cubs.
  2. Those that are watching--how are Jason and Stone reacting?
  3. This team will be getting national attention for a looong time. And not in a good way. Although...maybe it is a good thing...exposing them for who they are.
  4. Their ability to identify real talent, and develop it, is non-existant.
  5. So I looked at the score, Sox were up 3-2. I was like, so how are they gonna blow this one? Look away for about a half hour. Look back, we're in the same inning, and all of a sudden TB has 10 runs. Gee I wonder why I am not surprised.
  6. I really just want them to keep losing. Just really burn it to the ground. I would much rather have this than a team that very annoyingly hovers around .500 for the year and won't go anywhere. At least with this we know who they are.
  7. That is incredibly unprofessional. This shitshow will just continue to get worse. There has to be a boiling point somewhere.
  8. Team response: loses the next game 14-5.
  9. Yeah because that worked so well the first time around
  10. After all that talk from Grifol, Hahn, Williams...this is how the team responds. I mean, guys, open your eyes.
  11. Dear Lord this is the worst team in the league by far. They wouldn't be able to win college ball.
  12. BERTO NEEDS TO BE THE NEXT OWNER OF THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX
  13. Sorry Pedro. Yes, the season is definitely over. You would know that if you followed this team closely for the last 2 seasons.
  14. That's the thing. This was supposed to be their contention window. Had they done things the right way, they would win these divisions hand over fist. I mean, it's practically begging to be taken with how bad the division is. Just adds fuel to the fire. They absolutely just pissed away this rebuild.
  15. The team is broken. Numbers back that up, as clearly evidenced in this thread. They are the laughing stock of the league. Thinking they will turn it around is false hope. Given the circumstances and promises that were made, we have to have the most depressing team-situation (other than maybe the A's) in the league. I am fully convinced that nothing will change until Jerry, Kenny and Rick are gone. Not just Rick, as some have ascertained. All 3. I had full faith in them when the rebuild was taking place. I was combating the nay-sayers who were saying the exact things a lot of us are now, and should now be saying I told you so. What an absolute joke. How do the 3 of them continue to try and run this ballclub? What does it take to tell you that you are no longer good at your job and should pass it along to someone else?
  16. Did anyone really expect anything different? I watched literally an inning of this series, the inning they blew the 1st game lead. I'll continue to be disinterested and find other things to do until they either turn it around or get new ownership. Ridiculous to subject myself to the bs. I'll get my game info from Chuck's podcast and Sox Machine, and they can confirm all of my suspicions about this team. I mean...it's comically predictable now.
  17. Looking at the linescore...how did Cease throw over 100 pitches, allow only 1 walk, but only make it through 4 innings?
  18. Just tuned in. So how do they blow it this time boys? Errors? Walks? Wild pitches? HBP? Combination of all those?
  19. It's like for 3 days the offense looks good but the pitching and defense is crap. Then the pitching and defense are good and then the offense is crap. Or the starters look good and offense is decent and then the pen blows it. One of the (many, many) issues of this team is it is never firing on all cylinders.
  20. Exactly. It's a rollover from last year. Going into the bottom of the 9th up by 2, still felt like the Rays had a 90% chance to win.
  21. I still think my offseason plan was the best. Darn shame it didn't pan out ?
