  1. No. just responding to hundreds of posts, including the false narrative that Mercedes did not get a take sign on 3-0. (The frame shows 2-0 because it was not updated after the 2-0 pitch Then there was LoungeGate also filled with false information and angry critics.
  2. Sox won 5 of the last 6 games. This kind of mean-spirited garbage is not helpful as the team and the fan base is attempting to gain some momentum.
  3. The so-called "analysis" typically consists of questioning line-ups or in-game decisions in hindsight - the easiest and cheapest form of criticism. So, if he did this, then maybe that would have happened.. Of course, maybe something worse would have happened or maybe nothing different at all. And probably, other considerations that these Monday morning q-backs do not have knowledge of were involved. As far as criticisms of other Managers, historically that happens to managers of losing teams or it comes from fans of rival teams, like Cub fans who always try to throw some shade at the White Sox and their fans.
  4. You can't understand what you can't see.
  5. Hamilton will be on the roster all year. He has contributed to a couple of wins already. Tony made some good decisions. Key hit by Collins. Mercedes is starting to fade a little. I hope he picks it up in this series.
  6. Good question. I think he should.
  7. Come on now Carlos. This has to be a shut down inning.
  8. I can't believe they let the run score without a throw.
  9. Great move sending TA !!
  10. Wow. my advice to Zak did not age well!
  11. So far, I don't like the Sox offensive game plan against this guy. Start taking pitches ...this guy will walk himself into trouble.
  12. Here is an old article where the author recounts the 1968 rule change concerning mound height.: 1968 Rule change reducing mound height to 10" I think that prior to discussing possible rule changes, everyone has to agree on what problem they see that needs to be addressed. is it the fact that the game has moved into all-or-nothing at-bats - strike-out or Home Run? As a fan, I I like seeing the home run and I also like strike-outs, so I personally do not see a reason to change things. I do however, acknowledge that all-or-nothing at-bats and defensive shifts take away from excitement of seeing balls hit in play. Therefore, I could see experimenting in the Minors with a lower mound, perhaps lowered from 10" to 6". At the end of the day, the game has had many changes over the years so I do not think anything is set in Stone. Look at the different configurations of the parks and home run distance...look at the Green Monster or the wall of weeds at Wrigley.
  13. This would have been where having Kopech as the 5th starter would have been huge. As it stands, I just hope we can split this 4 game series with Cleveland.
  14. Hahn never did the due diligence necessary to make that determination. On the other side of the trade, I recall that the SD Manager had words with James Shields and demanded that he be traded. No way should Hahn have thrown in ANY prospect in a deal where he was already doing SD a huge favor in taking Shields off their hands. That was one of the worst trades in MLB history and there was absolutely no excuse for Hahn;s negligence.
  15. I understood that the LaRussa sign was placed there in 2020, before he was hired as Manager and probably before those who put it there knew he had a DUI ten years earlier. So change the name on the little fuking sign and move on.
  16. I for one, appreciate how you put a lot of thought into your posts. I value them more than those by others who often react out of some obvious and lame agenda or those who perpetually involve themselves in a laughable one-upmanship game. These are just anonymous posters who have an opinion about a game, so don't feel the need to counter them at every turn.
  17. Why do you think your judgment is better than an experienced Major League Manager who confers with coaches, has access to advanced stats and analytics, and has direct contact with players and trainers? I enjoy using emojis where appropriate. They can get a message across efficiently. ?
  18. Vaughn up in a key at bat. Come on Andrew.
  19. RH hitter against a tough LH pitcher.
  20. I'm not a Jake Lamb fan yet, but it was a good move by Tony to put him in the line-up against a RH pitcher. Give credit where credit is due.
  21. Why? The Sox need LH power off the bench.
