  1. Burgur smoked an infield single to 3rd, then gets picked off first.
  2. First six batters in Tribe line-up are LH bats. ReyLo gets them 1-2-3 in first.
  3. I tuned in to that link early and it worked. I still have the game on but I opened another window and the link goes to talk radio. I will try to figure a way around the re-direct. I have the same URL with the game as with talk radio.. Mercedes fouls out. Sox 2-0 after half inning.
  4. I think got radio here men: https://radiostationusa.fm/online/newsradio-wtam-1100
  5. Good analogy. Nothing wrong with keeping it in the family. I think it lends stability to the franchise.
  6. "Do you define fair weather as fans who don't watch during tough times? " Yes, if you decide to watch only if the team has a winning record, you are a fair weather fan. I watched the 2005 World Series at a SS bar where several Sox fans shed tears of joy after we clinched it because this was their team, our team. They stuck with the White Sox through thick and thin and through all the years...several .decades in some cases. It's OK to be a fair weather fan if that is what one chooses to become. All aboard this year and if it doesn't work out, maybe show up on the North side when fair weather hits up there.
  7. I wish every ST game was televised because I enjoy watching the game, win or lose, official or unofficial.
  8. The Sox brass who approved the Dunning/Lynn deal weighed the value of a long term contribution by Dunning vs. a one year deal for Lynn. Presumably, they made that call because going for it this year was a priority. A decision to have Vaughn on the OD roster would appear to be consistent with that strategy.
  9. After one learns how to handle winning and accept defeat they can enjoy the game. Fair weather fans never learn that.
  10. I am in the first group prioritized for the vaccine. Can I direct my search to make certain I get the J&J which I prefer ? As I recall, the Will County site and the Meijer's site that I registered at did not give me a choice. I know I should take what I can get but I don't want to if I don't have to.
  11. Burdi's outing was disappointing. He was all over the place. I recall projecting him as our Closer at one time.
  12. The decision to not throw huge money at a big free agent like Bauer and to not go "all-in" by pushing all the chips in for a short window of opportunity might be short sighted, or it might end up being a wise one. In that vein, a decision on whether to extend Gio should probably wait until he gives ownership added confidence that he will maintain his excellence and durability for at least one more season. Beyond that if Gio impresses JR that he has increased value beyond his outstanding performance on the field ( like Abreu and TA have done ) JR might open up the check book. JR likes White Sox players who spend time and make efforts to reach out to the community, to fans and to charitable causes off the field. That isn't something JR does only for personal reasons. Branding is an important aspect in any business but it is critical for a sports franchise.
  13. Only JR knew of new TLR DUI upon interview ... ^^^^ Perhaps this topic and others involving personal opinions about social issues and conspiracy theories should be moved to "SLaM" as this thing has become a distraction which only encourages unnecessary and irrelevant argument .
