Fine, I’ll do it (Game Thread 4/10)

I believe the Mets hold the record at 231 losses over 2 seasons. They followed their 120 loss season with 111. So that’s the target number. -

This team is absolutely hot garbage but I’d be surprised if they shatter it. It’s really fucking hard to lose 121+ games. -

Struck out without seeing a pitch close to the plate. Javier Baez level at bat there -

The back half of the Guardians lineup is White Sox level bad. -

Horrible scouting and he obviously wasn’t good. Amazing some of these guys are paid to do this. -

If I'm the Dodgers with as much talent and depth as they have I'd much rather give the internal options a chance than bring in a guy who has been hurt constantly and that will cost them a lot of money when you factor in luxury tax penalties. -
It is also comical to make this push based on a 2 game sample size, especially one where it isn't even like the offense set the world on fire. It is just jarring seeing competence after whatever the hell Waldron was doing.

I'm quite confident at this point that any of the other rookie QBs would be total disasters in this scheme and with this oline. The number of plays where the QB just has zero chance on film is stunning. And now Williams is playing hesitant bad football on top of it (and I think he has been hammered over the head with being conservative which is why even on the few occasions someone is actually open the ball is slow to come out).

Firing Flus was the most obvious of obvious decisions after last year. The team was bad for the second year in a row and he had to fire both coordinators. They knew they were going to take a QB #1 so bringing in a new head coach (preferably one with a good offensive mind) was unbelievably obvious. Poles not recognizing that means he is a dumbass too and should go as well after this season.

Retaining Eberflus and hiring Waldron were obviously bad decisions and now we are wasting a year. Great job Poles

Using bWAR for pitchers when Shuster sucked but got lucky is kind of silly.

Yeah, as bad as the Judge and Volpe errors were they are irrelevant if Cole hustles and covers first. Lack of effort is worse than a physical error in my book.

His bat speed is well below average

What a brutal effort by the Orioles offense
