  1. sneak in a salami sandwich and a half pint in your pants.
  2. maybe they will just release him tomorrow.
  3. I wouldn't mind a platoon of Engel and Goodwin for a year in RF. The thought of Vaughn playing LF next year is acceptable as well. We've got Cespedes and Colas coming, hopefully by 2023. The one wild card in all this could be Yoan, If he would accept a move to the outfield for the good of the team.. Burger could then slide in at 3B. Luckily the Sox are young. This will help while we rebuild the system. One last thing we have going for us, is the Cuban connection. We do better than just about any body there. It acts as a draft supplement every couple of years.
  4. Sox have done as well as anybody with their high picks for a long time now. I'm inclined to trust them on a fairly low 1st rounder.
  5. I wonder if the Sox are thinking about Alex Colome? He's righted the ship and could help a lot. His cost would be next to nothing.
  6. Burger looks more athletic than I thought he'd be. He runs OK too.
  7. Sorry, my spelling is horrocious!
  8. Whose rpm drop? Lucas gets it done with speed differential. In case you haven't noticed, he's been up and down all year. Long before the cheaters rpm dropped, Lucas was struggling with release point. He's actually pitched better lately.
  9. It's a shame Yoan is so much better at 3B than 2B. That line up with Burger at third and the return of LR & Eloy would be something to watch.
  10. I'm sure its just a co inky dink.

32+ years old. He's starting to trend down. Royals are years away. He'll make 10.5$ next year. There are lots of reasons KC might move him. Also, Micker does have a high ceiling. It would depend on the pitcher they'd want.
  12. Wouldn't surprise me if Burger could cover an OF corner. Jake strikes me as a true baseball player. He's in good shape and runs ok for a big guy.
  13. Would rather have Whit Merrifield than Escobar myself. He should be available with the Royals plummeting.

Micker and a pitching prospect for Whit Merrifield. He's a good player and can play 2nd and OF. At 32+ years of age, he'll be useless by the time KC is good again.

Another HR yesterday. Slugging .530 at Birmingham is like .750 at Charlotte.
  16. Jose is looking real badddddd.

Posted 2 topics about MILB players to keep my mind off the big club slump. This guys numbers intrigue me. Seems to know the strike zone really well for a 19 year old. Hits with some power and 6-0 on stolen bases. 3-4 years away ,but some one to follow as he makes his way through the system.

10 bombs in Alabama is pretty impressive. 10 doubles as well. After missing a lot of time, he may have turned a corner.
  19. 3 major injuries in 3+ years when you are young is a really bad thing. I'd say Nick has one chance left. If he gets even a hang nail after this, he'll never be an every day player again.
  20. With Goodwin around, there isn't as much need for Leury. Mendick has shown to be playable in the OF as well. This is probably his last hurrah for the Sox.
  21. He's not a bum. He's just young. Very effective in MILB. Sox used to lose to guys like him all the time. With our sh***y line up today, I'm not as confident as the bettors are.
  22. Can some one win a silver slugger award hitting .154?
  23. If the Sox win 1 of next 2 games, we should be satisfied. I've always been a greedy jerk though. I thought Lambert showed a little in the 2nd game. Still, he should have thrown a less hittable pitch on 3-2 to that lefty in the 2nd inning. 1st was open and the next batter was hitting .126.
