July 27, 20169 yr Some of these suggestions are ridiculous. If Robertson was somehow made a free agent now, what would his contract be?
July 27, 20169 yr QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) Some of these suggestions are ridiculous. If Robertson was somehow made a free agent now, what would his contract be? Probably a little more than it is right now. Probably would look at a deal of 2/$29 given the current market.
July 27, 20169 yr QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) Some of these suggestions are ridiculous. If Robertson was somehow made a free agent now, what would his contract be? More than it is currently, in all likelihood. But I agree with your point - the Sox aren't getting Giolito for Robertson. lol Edited July 27, 20169 yr by ChiSox59

July 27, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) Robertson for Michael Taylor and mid-level prospect is my guess That makes sense. Either that or 2 A ball prospects.
July 27, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) Robertson for Michael Taylor and mid-level prospect is my guess That's about fair I guess. As a side note, he was #32 prospect in baseball a couple years ago and now he's relatively terrible.
July 27, 20169 yr Are there any rules on trading just signed international prospects like there are on just drafted Rule-4 prospects? If not then I wouldn't mind Washington throwing in one of their SS's they signed this year (Luis Garcia, Yasel Antuna, Jose Sanchez) with Jakson Reetz. How about Reynaldo Lopez for Robertson? July 27, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 12:54 PM) Robertson for Michael Taylor and mid-level prospect is my guess Why in the world would the Sox do that? If that's all anyone offers for Robertson, keep him.
July 27, 20169 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 04:41 PM) I think Fedde and Jackson Reetz would be a good return for Robertson. Sign me up
July 28, 20169 yr QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:44 PM) Sign me up Robertson is owed a lot of money in the coming years. I think the return in prosects will be very limited unless the White Sox are covering part of the future salary. My guess is he stays w us.
July 28, 20169 yr @BNightengale The Washington #Nats, desperate for a late-inning reliever, are now scouting the #WhiteSox bullpen to determine a possible fit.
July 28, 20169 yr Nothing doing just yet, Nightengale is just stumping for the Sox. There's a lot of options out there.
July 28, 20169 yr QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) Nothing doing just yet, Nightengale is just stumping for the Sox. There's a lot of options out there. I mean not really. Lucas Harrell just got the Rangers soon to be proclaimed #9 prospect. Pitching is scarce.
July 28, 20169 yr QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:09 PM) I mean not really. Lucas Harrell just got the Rangers soon to be proclaimed #9 prospect. Pitching is scarce. It was mostly Dario Alvarez that got that return. Anyways it might come down to who asks the least exorbitant price.
July 28, 20169 yr QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 08:20 PM) It was mostly Dario Alvarez that got that return. Anyways it might come down to who asks the least exorbitant price. They were both acquired roughly 2 months ago. Pitching is expensive. The thing with the Nationals is they have to give in because they dont have a choice.
