McEwing was horrible at sending/holding runners. Hope this guy is better

Title is wrong.

Capra is new 3B coach.

Hasler is new bullpen coach.

So why would the director of player development move to third base coach? Seems very puzzling.

My bad. Can a mod fix it for me? Thanks.

Practically the same staff Ventura had in here was exactly my worry.

Same s***, different year.

He has managed in the minors.

So Bobby Thigpen quit? Fired? Different role in the organization?

I'm heartbroken.

McEwing was my favorite 3rd base coach since Jeff Cox.

Status quo

Wait, I thought Capra was supposed to turn around the farm system. WTF Jerry?

Status quo

To me, it's another indication they aren't rebuilding. The rotation will be Sale, Quintana, Rodon, Gonzalez, and Shields...and they'll find a way to not make the playoffs again.

I would think that Renteria would have wanted to bring on his own staff...

This organization is a joke

Would love for them to have an organizational philosophy to hitting as they seem to have with pitching.

This leads me to believe that there will be little changes with the roster as well.

Yes it is. The lack of accountability is absolutely insane.

Yep. Get ready for year 3 of the infamous KW three-year phantom plan of failure.

No direction, No accountability, No future. My favorite team sucks and is run by a bunch of clowns. #FireHahn, #FireKenny #SellTheTeamJerry

He doesn't have one single guy he'd like to hire?

That makes no sense to me. Why make a scout a coach? And a very important scout at that. Scouts and coaches are not interchangeable.

It's amazing that this organizational seemingly makes the wrong choice at every turn. Common sense does not exist on the south side.

My guess is that they feel they need more of this on the day to day managing of the team and preparing for games/opponents.

I kind of like this move. I like the McEwing move as well I always thought he was a good baseball mind.
