That's it? Did the injuries scare everyone off from a longer deal?

Injuries and Peds hurt him.

Ryan Pace last week in Indy: "Ideally in free agency, we're addressing most of our needs to allow the draft to be best-player-available."

I am starting to believe that Pace had a completely different reality of FA playing out in his mind. Now what Pace?

All those on the Bears season ticket waiting list will probably have one of their biggest jumps in years.

Maybe Pace thinks you can use leftover cap space to buy wins??

Considering they can't possibly spend all their money, getting worse, seems next to impossible. But I think they are worse. Is Glennon better than Cutler? Does a 32 year old safety make up for losing Jeffery? Does a back up TE move the needle at all?

A QB who has not played in years and a 32 year old safety and another TE that can't play not going to cut it for a 3-13 team. Glennon numbers will not be as good as Hoyer's were in 2016. Fan base has to be disappointed today. Pace decision making not looking good in this FA period.

Washington signs DT Stacy McGee for $25 million over five years per source.

Hope the Cowboys can at least get something like a 3rd or 4th RD pick for Romo.

NFL Network just had a segment with Jeffrey's gone, they went through Bears WR's and do not know what management is thinking about with that group.

They're thinking Alshon would have been too expensive and even for one year he's not worth $14 million. He's not Dez Bryant and he's even less durable.

40 million cap space unused and no #1 receiver just a group of misfit toys............McCaskey's and cheap will start back up soon. Get your PSL money sent in asap.

I'm no Bears fan, but I get them not wanting to pay Jeffery franchise money.

So what are we gonna do with all this cap space...?

Nothing at all.

Logan Ryan is still available. Throw money at him.

You roll it over. It's part of the game.

What you cannot do if you're Chicago is overpay for what's left of free agency. And the cheap bulls*** is lazy research. If there was $40 million worth of high value talent, the Bears would spend ALL the cap space. There isn't.

At this point I'm rooting for them to strikeout on any FA left just for the fun of it.

There really never is. Guys are FA's for a reason. But when you dont knock every every draft pick out of the park you have to over pay for guys in FA to fill in the gaps that you failed with.

Bears have too many holes to fill them with free agents. No need to overspend.

Pace said himself that he wanted to fill the holes through FA to allow him to take best available in the draft. Those were his words.

If they decide to build completely through the draft and not focus on filling holes with FA their rebuild will take another 4-5 years. I doubt thats what he really wants to do.
