Moncada will take Lackey deep for his first hr.

Another god damn day game?

I'd really like a good Rodon game.

Rodon has not shown much control so far this season. He really needs a solid start to get things back on track.

Schwarber is solid posting a .834 OPS vs right handed pitching, but he is AWFUL against lefties with a career .516 OPS

He's exactly the player I would have tried to sell high on before it becomes clear how limited of a player he is

It's not the Cubs, they are asking to have more and more night games, it's the "neighbors" of Wrigley. Their property values go up, but they don't want to deal with the other effects of a ballpark nearby.

Avi goes 3-3 with a HR and HBP

Moncada a modest 2-4 with a double SB and K

Rodon 6.1 7H 2BB 9K

Can blame them a little, though, because they concede home games to hold concerts.

Excellent. Moncada can learn how to bunt in the 5 hole.

So he has already lost the 2nd spot in the order, which he "earned" coming into yesterday's game.

WTF.

The only thing good about this is that he may get an opportunity to use his speed more.

Let's see who is left on the team next Monday night before going too nuts about Moncada's spot in the order.

For me, Melky gets traded, and Anderson-Moncada hit 1-2 for two months. No bunting before the 8th inning.

same, I want both of them to get as many PA as possible even if it gets ugly.

And that speed and power combo at the top of the lineup can be FUN if the two of them can actually reach their potential.

Good catch, I didn't even think about that. It's mentioned in the Sun-Times today, if you include the concerts, then they would match the league average in night games, which is their main sticking point.

ON a side note, we still own a condo a few blocks away, some drunk dumbass after the Jimmy Buffet concert kicked out our ground level window. No attempt to steal anything, just being an idiot.

Anyone know if the wind is blowing in again? We got 2 pitchers on the mound with an ERA that's up there and trying to guess what the score will be for today. I was way off yesterday.

John Lackey has worked six innings+ in 15 straight starts vs. @whitesox. Only Verlander and Johan Santana have longer streaks in WC era.

Hopefully no way. While Anderson has struggled hitting 7th, he has not even hit his weight batting first with a decent sampling. Let's wait till the kid gets straightened out mentally before he hits there again. I doubt Moncada will be a 2 batter in the future because he strikes out way too much. 3 or 5 is good for rest of year.

It appears to be a cross breeze, so minimal effect. Over under is 9

Other than legging out XBH, they probably won't steal at all under Ricky. Anderson only has 7 SBs on the season!

Rick really needs to stop jerking Moncada around in the order. Just put him 2nd it's his long term best spot.
